New Attribute to 1000 products

My store has over 1000 products and many attributes.

If my products get a new attribute would i have to add the new product attribute manually to all 1000 products or is there a way to add an attribute to all of them at once?

I think this is a really important question as it could save hours and hours of work

Actually, there is no way to do this on Vm 2. but you could do it easily directly on your database. (via phpmyadmin)
Just be carefull, and don't try it if you'r not comfortable with. (and always do backup !)
