Hello Everyone,
I need to accept credit cards on my web store.
Can you please recommend payment processor for that?

Can I use Paypal Pro without embedding button on each individual product?
If so can you recommend Joomla extension that can do that?
I have found some of them on the web, but it looks like they work only for US merchants.

However, I and my web site are located in Australia. Google Checkout also doesn't work in Australia.

The link above is a little bit outdated.
VM2 comes with PayPal already integrated as a VirtueMart plugin using the PayPal API. Also, there is a commercial "Offline Credit Card Processing" plugin available here: http://extensions.virtuemart.net/
I currently don't know if there are 3rd party VM2 payment gateways for Australia already.

Thank for your responses. As I understand I am using Paypal plugin already. However, user has to log on to Paypal website in order to send payment. However, not everyone has Paypal account but almost everyone has a credit card.
Therefore I actually want them to be able to process credit card details via Paypal or other system.
At the same time I don't want to store credit cards details on my web site as I believe users will not fill secure about that. So I can't use "Offline Credit Card Processing".

Will I have to use something like iTransact, eWay or else? Which of these systems would you recommend?
I have no sales so far so I can't afford to pay any subscription fees.

Concerning PayPal, see this explanation: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/My-account-settings/Allow-pay-by-credit-card-without-paypal-account/td-p/269408
As far as I know eWay has a minimum annual charge of $350. I don't know about ITransact. However, whenever you want to accept Credit Cards, you need some kind of merchant contract with a credit card processing company and they charge more or less money for using their service.

I  wanna accept Credit Cards. Paypal offers that service, but I can find a suitable plugin for NON USA virtuemart site.

The PayPal pro solution will work but they do charge a monthly subscription of $30 per month..

The trick though is finding a plug in for PayPal Website Payments Pro which works.

I have recently been burned with the BigFoot Extensions that looks perfect, but didn't receive a download code after paying so I'd probably advise you to steer clear of this one.

If anyone else has a suggestion I'd love to hear from you/

Alternatively if anyone wants to contribute to a community based plugin that works with VM2 for PayPal Pro, please PM me.  This would add a lot of value to all of us.  I've had a quote of $300USD to do this, but the developer then wanted to sell the plug in and would not release it to the community.  If youy can build this and are prepared to share it once done I/we??  are prepared to contribute to the development costs.

I've updated the Paypal plugin info with a link to an example demonstrating how the currently included free PayPal integration into VM2 works:

I found a working Paypal Pro plugin - I am currently using it and it was just as easy to setup as the default paypal module that comes with VM2

my site can now take credit cards directly on it.
