How to add new product field in Virtuemart in the backend ?

I was wondering how I can easily add new product field in the backend of virtuemart .. Like Product Location field for example because I am building a website where we would have to know the product location in the warehouse. I would like to be able to add new product fields that fit the needs of the online store I am building . Thanks a BUNCH !!!
