Hello
i am using joomla 2.5.4 and VM 2.0.2
i want to edit all prices in one table
also it would be very nice to edit other products parametrs in one table

how can i do it?

That was spam....

A good way to be able to edit all prices is to use CSVI (there is a free and a paid version) to export your products as a list. I open the lists in openoffice calc and then edit the prices etc before uploading the file back to the site.

interesting site - i had to contact administrator to register
there is a big button Subscripe now and little "register" in top of window
i will try csvi

thank you

slutsker

i tried CSVI - it is not to interesting for me because you need to import and export files

i can't belive that so many people use VM and there is no way to change prices in one table - how can it be?

What you are asking for is not a common feature. It is rare for an administrator to change all prices at one time, and if they do, typically exporting to Excel is the standard way to do it.

If you have database experience you can use phpMyAdmin to update the prices directly.

it can be rare for admins i would be glad to see such solution for anyone
in my eshop all prices can be changed 2 times during the day so product manager should change all prices

Slutsker,

Magnetic One is working on a Store Manager for VirtueMart 2, but it is not ready yet:

http://www.magneticone.com/store/VirtueMart.Modules/Store.Manager.for.VirtueMart

This allows you to work on VirtueMart on your desktop as if it were a Windows program. Their most powerful feature is the batch upload of prices.

When this comes out it will be the best you can do... or you will have to switch to another ecommerce program that has this feature built-in. The only one I know of with it built-in is Loaded Commerce 6.5 B2B, which is quite expensive tho open source. The feature is so powerful - can crash your whole store easily if you sort before saving, then make price edits  - that I actually don't recommend it.

In VM1 we can edit/update the Product Price directly from the Product Table Columns (it open a popup with "Price Information")...
I've also talked here ( http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=99052.msg335382#msg335382 ) about the #3 point... but no answers/evolution from anyone (Developers)!!!   :'(

Some good things we have lost from the VM1 and its worst in VM2 ..
1) like the Automatic Price Update in BE Product Area Vm1 vs VM2
Demo: http://demo.virtuemart.net/administrator/index.php
http://demo.virtuemart.net/administrator/index.php?page=product.product_form&limitstart=0&keyword=&product_id=36&product_parent_id=&option=com_virtuemart
Everyone can put the price and VM1 automaticaly calculate the Product Price (Net) or the Product Price (Gross)... very fast!

2) like the Script that detect if we'll click in "Upload a File" > "Image Action"  any image/file from our Disk and change automaticaly from the "None" (default position) to "Upload" Position...   (This is the same like we have in Virtuemart 1.1x)

3) like the Terms of Service link in Registration Area ..
we got that in VM1: http://demo.virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.registration&vmcchk=1&Itemid=2  (I agree to the Terms of Service (Terms of Service) *)
and in VM2 people CANT read what they agree.. It's insane!!  ???

People must click (or not) without a link to read TOS....
