I wouldn't show Bill-to information at the first place. From the users point of view the original system is a bit weird because if I want to order something, I am mostly interested getting the stuff, not the bill. So ->
Priority 1 => Shipping address

I have changed the titles vice versa in the language files (and removed possibility to fill in billing address because I don't need it at the moment (see http://www.xyz.fi/index.php/ostoskori (fin. Toimitusosoite = eng. Ship to))

Very good, although incredibly frustrating! just tested it and spent a day styling then realised that no shipping or payments work when signed in as quest, worst still i had to update to VM 2.0.3 to account for some invoice issues that were resolved and now there are no prices in the cart at all - clearly the VM team is again showing spectacular future-proofing in VMs output, but i can swap these values around, thats no big issue, its just a tedius one... the guest login however... is a deal breaker, the one page checkout is almost useless to be without being able to select the shipping and payment methods... which is really gutting because i got it looking absolutely kick ass.. I'm working on it now if i find solutions i'll post the replacement code...

They are not again us but they didn't respect the MVC philosophy by changing the View (The V from MVC).
I got a similar issue from 2.0.0 to 2.0.2 some views I overwritted were changed.
In that case I would prefer to keep the old VM1 system with the model.
Hope this is just because VM 2 is new.
But please VM team, DO NOT TOUCH THE VIEWS ANYMORE or don't tell us we can override them :P

Of course I copy the views to my template, and your right they are not overriden...
But if you change the way the previous views are working (I means the one from virtuemart) , by example by removing part of code, adding new part, changing variables...then the previous views you modified are no more compatible with the new product.
By example you override the VM2.02 views by deprecated VM2.00 views.
This can only work if the old code from VM2.00 is not modified, if not you will have a big mess.
I don't know if it's clear.
Hi Archos, While using MVC you save the work of users, because when something is changed in VM2, you as developer will change it for all users but in case of modified code of VM2, this all must be done by users themselves. Using MVC is the best way to not allways edit the code when new version is released and upgraded. ;)

I'm not saying MVC model is wrong or not usable, it's exactly the opposite, it's nice if we use it the way it has been designed.
The idea of the MVC model is IMHO to separate the design part (the view) from let say the algorithm or process part.

but if you don't want to edit the code when new version is released and upgraded
THEN the previous view must remain compatible with new one.
If the
core of the view is modified on each release then you will have to edit the code of your overridden one when new version is released and upgraded

I am a 6-month member of Linelab and I try to use 1-page checkout (plg_system_onepage_vm2.zip) in my test site (fortunately it is a test site) at Joomla 2.5.3 Virtuemart 2.0.3H with the following problem :
- all prices information cannot be shown (unless the quantity update icon is pressed, but my customer won't do it) - new problem with Virtuemart 2.0.3H;
- when using Paypal, the system reply "Info: Paypal Merchant email is not set. Please configure this parameter in your paypal payment method." and it does not re-direct to Paypal - problem with Virtuemart 2.0.2 and 2.0.3H.
I have reported to Linelab but fruitless. It would be good if you can give some hint/help for me.
Linelab had developed some nice and useful template/plugin, but from time to time, there are some teething problems which may be related to the update of JM / VM. Hope they can keep on working for better compatibility with updated JM / VM.

Updated for the problems of 1-page checkout on VM 2.0.3I :
- no price information in the cart page;
- when using Paypal, the system sometimes prompt a message that "Info: Paypal Merchant email is not set. Please configure this parameter in your paypal payment method." and it does not re-direct to Paypal - problem with Virtuemart 2.0.2, 2.0.3H & 2.0.3I.
(The problem of "no selection for payment / shippment in the cart checkout" is solved in VM2.0.3I)
Both these problems disappeared if the 1-page checkout is un-published and using VM defealt checkout program to complete the order (sure, it takes few more steps).
Hope you can provide some hints to solve the above problems with the 1-page checkout.

If the shop owner has different shipping and payment options for Zip, Country parameters One Page Checkout for VM2 does not work.

After uninstalling and deleting Skylab VM2 template and Onepagecheckout again the "add to cart" on the category browse page works again. But the product flypage is missing the Product description etc.
There is also a problem with Onepage checkout, I cant get it to work without user registration. I can't select shipping so I cant check out. The site will only ship to one country and there is only one postage option.

What customer group you have set for payment and shipment? anonymous? Default?

Go to Admin Joomla > VirtueMart > Shopper Field List and hide name field in registration form.
It cannot be disabled under Configuration > Shopper Fields. It is locked as a field from joomla core. I have seen other people complain about his, but I don`t see a solution.
It would be great if you created an option in plg_system_onepage to hide this Displayed Name field.

Hi Otto, If you disable JavaScript in your browser's settings, One Page Checkout may not function properly. VirtueMart uses javascript to validate forms in the default checkout process. :) 2% of people on the web in North America and Europe have JavaScript turned off. For example, if your site has 10.000 visitors per month then there are probably about 200 visitors without JavaScript.

i've looked into my anylytics account, and taken the visitors from january till now.......and it's a number about 12% of my visitors that don't use Javascript
Maybe theres a workaround to check if a user uses Java or nor and redirect him to another checkout page?

I've purchased the one page checkout plugin by linelab and sort of have it working. The main problem is this plugin disables Virtuemarts ability to redirect to a secure SSL protected page at checkout. Virtuemart does not redirect to a Secure SSL page when viewing the cart, it only redirects to an SSL when navigating away from the cart and updating a credit card or billing address. Since this addon places the billing address and credit card fields right on the shopping cart page which accomplishes the one page checkout it breaks the ability of Virtuemart to use an SSL.
Unless I'm missing something. Please advise.

this is what I had to do...
1. update the OPC to latest version
2. update the AIO VM plugins to latest version (minimum 2.0.6)

4. set my shipping options for free shipping into two occurrences, one for anonymous and one for the rest of the shopper groups...(basically this is for logged and non-logged)
5. set my shipping prices to 0 or 0.00
THIS IS WORKING NOW!
I have completed an order successfully both as a logged and non logged users
The LineLab developer really worked hard on this with me...but it is indeed working now....what a relief.

I have also been able eventually to get this working. And it is really fantastic!
I would however suggest you take the time to write a step by step guide (with pics) of how to use this plugin, and specifically how to set up Virtuemart and Joomla in order for it to work. You may think Virtuemart/Joomla settings is not your problem, but it is causing a bad reputation for your plugin (which actually works great). Perhaps also include this guide with the plugin download.
You will save yourself a lot of time to do this.

Thanks for updating the version of 1-page Checkout, and I have tried it which work smoothly.
Just one thing that since my client create the account via joomla registration, some VM fields (eg address, phone) are not filled. (VM registration has some problem with email authorization code when activating the new account and hence cannot be used)
When the client check out with 1-page Checkout, he can fill in his personal data and check out successful. However, these data is not saved in VM.
As a result, he needs to fill his personal data every time when he checks out a cart (it is understood that the client should go to VM account maintenance to update his information. But since he cannot distinguish which web-screen is VM and which is 1-page checkout, he would think he has filled the information when he check out last time).
Thus, will it be possible for 1-page checkout to save the user information if the user fill in any new information?

It appears that 'ask for registration' error has been fixed, however the 'Terms of Service' checkbox is still appearing and will not let me checkout without ticking it. Please note that I have both '
Must agree to Terms of Service on EVERY ORDER?' and '
Show Terms of Service on the cart/checkout?' unticked in VirtueMart configuration.
Also, is it possible to have one of the 'Countries' selected as a default selection? This would be a good preference as most of my customers are from one country, and selecting the Country can cause a delay in the web browser while the 'State / Province / Region' list is loading.

For the "Terms of Service" (TOS), maybe you can modify the following file such such the default status of TOS is "ticked"
File : <your Joomla directory>/components/com_virtuemart/helpers/cart.php
change from : $this->tosAccepted = JRequest::getInt('tosAccepted', $this->tosAccepted);
to : $this->tosAccepted = 1;

I just updated to the new version and i believe it doesn't work perfectly. To be exact when i select a shipment or payment method the loading screen doesn't appear.

Also i'm having trouble with the € sign... if i put in to my basket up to 10 euro the euro sign alignment breaks.
Edit... the first error is fixed i hadn't see the option to Use preloader... :) but the second still persists.

the problem is because of short urls....before one page checkout I could use shorts urls.
now after the last update I cannot.
it seems to be working but uses long urls will will kill the traffic in the long run.
Jakobe, OPC plugin is working correctly with SEF URL, SEF URL + .htaccess (Static URL) and Dynamic URL. Please specify your problem.
My short urls were working fine with the regular checkout on VM2...and I know this because several users had completed orders with no problems.
after OPC was added....users can no longer checkout and be redirected to paypal unless all short url options are turned off in Joomlas global config.

I would like to buy your OPC but before that I need to know a few things.
firts: Can I move the product list above the billing and shipping address without harming the functions?
second: Can I remove the discount coulmn, because I don't need that. I update the prices with SOAP and if something is cheaper than it will overwrite the actual price so I don't have discounts :D
third: Can OPC register a user in that form as it is on your demo page? I mean do I need additional form elements or the default is enough?
And the last and most important :)
Do I really need a PayPal account, isn't my creditcard enough? because as I recall PayPal has creditcard checkout for those who doesn't have an account.

Hello please help me out.
Since VM 2.0.8/a I can't use One Page(3.2) because after any form triggering an update like address or quantity the shipping methode dissapears and it will only show again if i delete the current session from db or I wait for the time limit.
And it doesn't matters if I set shoppergroup for it or any other setting or just save as without any setting. I have only one Shipping method and VM is set to auto select shipment.
Everything is in default now with beez 2 template but still having the this issue, oh and I disabled all other vm payment plugins.
So I don't know where is the problem. If I disable the shipping method update in your Js than it dissapers if you update the, like you go back to shopping and back to cart again.
and if I log in with my superAdmin on the cart page I get this:

Mods:
Shipping, Payment and discount update completely disabled in the JS.
Changed ordering, and now product list is first and billto second
added a jquery clone function to email and first name so right now email value is cloned to username and last name to diplayed name :D
disabled browser auto fill and copy paste because of the clone

I am encountering the same problem as Piszi with shipping method since upgrading to 2.0.8c (I do not believe it was present in 2.0.6). I also find that if I enter a shipping address (instead of just a billing address) that then the shipping methods appear. Similarly if I uncheck and recheck the shipping address matches billing address box.
I've gotten around it (somewhat... depends entirely on user behavior so not really) for now by having "ship to address checked" set to No by default, even though I'd prefer Yes. Hopefully this is fixed in the next version because it is a serious issue.
That said, on the whole this is an excellent plugin and I'm a happy user of it.
Additionally, "When you are already registered, please login directly here" seems to have disappeared on the cart page from 3.2 running on VM 2.0.8c. Hmm...

The problem is that everything seems to work, but if i want to use the buttons in the checkout; thrash can, the quantity refresh button and the checkout button nothing is happening... It was working without the template override of OPC (the standard checkout) So i think there is some kind of javascript/jquery conflict, but i cant find it!
I things i tried:

- Tried OPC in other templates(not working);
- Tried to disable all modules and compenents that maybe cause a conflict;

The Preloading don't work for me with Vm2.08d
I've intalled vm 2.08d and the the Problems with OPc started: The "Preload bar" if i choose a payment won't dissapaer again....
Since i've used an older Testversion of opc i subscribed and loaded the latest version available; but now the problem appaers if i click on cart-> the cart page is shown and 2 seconds later the "preloader bar" appaers and loads endless...
Any suggestions on this?

Hi VirtueArtcz, removing the user folder worked a treat. Thanks for that, the login is now showing! However i still have a problem with the look of the page - there's a huge difference between the live site and my dev site with the onepage checkout.

:) Huge difference? You must edit the file default_pricelist.php in cart folder. Simply add class name "checkout-content-cart" to a div for background gradient effect.

I have exactly the same problem. I bought one page checkout today. Uploaded files to my templates html folder. Everything works fine except the order confirmation button that does not work when I click to confirm the order. I tried it with the custom and default joomla tamplates with all other extentions switched off. No luck.

Since I upgraded VM2 from 2.0.8c to 2.0.8e, onepage checkout does not work well anymore:
using june version 3.4 at checkout page, shipping and payment options no longer appear when you select the country . They do however appear if you refresh the page
using july version 3.4 checkout button no longer works at all.
Now I just restored a full backup with 2.0.8c, since the above problems make onpepage checkout unusable
Oh, and another small problem:
on the bottom of the checkout page I see:
Total in Payment Currency and the value I have no ideea what it represents

Actually with the latest VM and OPC this didn't helps. On my localhost I always set memory to 256M, Upload to 200M max execution to 320 since I had to work with huge databases and database updates.
Now with the latest of everything (J!, VM, OPC) for me there is a new problem and it's not that I can't checkout. Now for me the user specific values for $this->cart->BTaddress and STaddress are empty only the email is loaded as value into the Billing address fields and of course I get the missing value VM "Info:" notes for name, address and so on. And I don't know why. Because if I print out the $this in the userInfo class from where the VM's cart.php gets the datas, every user specific value like address, first_name, etc.. is there. So I think somewhere betwen the cart.php and OPC the Cart Object is loosing data, because If I turn off the OPC plugin and rename the cart folder in my template html folder and clear the current session than with the VM default cart everything is fine.

Hi itsallpc, OPC Plugin has been tested on different servers. The OPC plugin has nothing to do with the increase the memory limit of PHP.

is there anything to make OPC work with VM2.0.8e ? Because as I said earlier on my localhost and on my live host user datas aren't loaded if the user is logged in.
I did a print_r on $this->cart in your helper.php and all user specific values in BTaddress and STaddress except email are empty.
Now to make it work I did two query on virtuemart_userinfos in the default_pricelist.php if user is logged in, and made a bunch of str_replace on $_field['formcode'] to replace empty input values.
But I hope I need this only temporarly and there is a better solution. :)

1.) exactly the same problem here. Everything seems to work, but order confirmation button does not work, when I click confirm the order.
2.) With another Browser (no cookies):
By the first visit on the cart, no shipping and payment possibility is showing!
is not possible to checkout!

another problem that arises with th opc is, that the terms and conditions are very far down, so if you want to read it, you only see the gray background of the fancybox.
there is a solution for this problem?

now, another general problem that I noticed:
If you fill out a field in the address-input incorrectly, and click the Checkout button (you have already accept the terms of service).
The field is incorrectly completed and red, but you do not see it, because it is so far above.
so it looks as if it's a javascript problem-there, but that's not true.
I hope I've described it for granted.

I was also searching for until I was crazy.
In my case it was in 3 party Cart Module that i was using. in the php File!
Please contact the developers of your mini cart module to fix the problem.

The problem with the missing values is coming with all cart modules, even the original one. It has to be a problem of the combination virtuemart and onepage checkout for sure.

Hello, I'm using one page checkout component and something is not right ... When i enter with username and password in the cart page, all the input values (BT address and stuff) is missing. If I see the cart offline and then go to account maintenance for login, same thing.
But if I open the browser again and enter directly on account maintenance, everything's right, and when I go to the cart page my data appear correctly, which seems to have something to do with session.
Could you help me? I'm using Joomla 2.5 + Virtuemart 2.0.8e. If you need, i'll give you the site url.

Are you willing to give any support? Maybe you are too busy developing new features, you cannot even read emails?
Please send me at least information how to fallback one licence step (from licence with support to one without support) and refund my money. If I am solving bugs on my own i do not need to pay you for doing that.

Im happy its working!
But still, funny. It was not working after upgrading to vm2.0.10. Then I disabled all kinds of stuff, as well the onepage checkout. Still not working. Then I uninstalled onpage checkout. Still not working. Then I reinstalled onepage checkout, i knew, i didnt enable it. but how come, now its working. There was nothing else?
And btw. Why the onepage checkout doesnt show the text "General Ordering Conditions" next to the checkbox at the bottom?
Go to Admin Joomla > Virtuemart Configuration > Checkout > and check "Show Terms of Service on the cart/checkout?" Done!

Just purchased and installed OPC 3.4 on my joomla 2.5.6 vm 2.0.10 vm aio 2.0.10 site.
plugin is enabled
error reporting is off
jQuery is on in vm
user can add to cart and view cart fine
clicking on "Confirm Purchase" doesn't do anything and the following javaascript error is present - javascript void ()

Hi Sfjoomster, I see an error message "Invalid Token, while trying to save user". Change your Joomla template to one of preinstalled with Joomla (Beez etc..) and check OPC. I've run a number of tests on the checkout today
If I click on the confirm order my user is registered - but i'm not shown as logged in on the cart pages vmart or joomla login module
the cart doesn't show me any messages at this stage - even that i was registered
clicking continue shopping brings me back to the list of products and my user shows as logged in under the joomla login module
going back to the cart my users information is stored in the form - except for the credit card data
i re-enter the credit card data and click confirm order - after a few seconds I get my Confirmed order email but I'm still in the cart with no notice that the order has gone through

I've switched the template to atomic and still have the same issue - confirm order manages to register me, but not check me out.

Does anyone know if One Page Checkout will let you create a shipping rate based on total PRICE
of order? I sent something to developer and no word.
When I use the shipping by price with PayPal, it creates 2 problems.
1) The VM invoice does not include the shipping fee.
2) I am unable to send the order invoice to the vendor so they can
see the order.
I use a plugin ptype to process the shipping by price with VM 1 and it worked
fine. It is very small amount of code, but I can not manage that. Any suggestions?
I just updated the OPC to the latest version today but when I try and checkout, it will not show UPS or USPS shipping options even after I fill in the billing/shipping info.

If the country field isn't active in the checkout process, you can't confirm the purchase (maybe has something to do with shipment?) If i enable the field, i can confirm the purchase. But i actually don't need this field.
Second issue:
If a user doesn't fill out a password he doesn't get an error message and he still can confirm the purchase, how come? Obviously i want the customer to fill out a password.

Vegetaaa, The Country field is required in VM default checkout process and must be published. I see that you have published only the email field. ??? First off, maybe it's smart to tell you why i don't need the address, country etc. I don't need them because i will not be delivering physical goods, i will be providing services and that's why i need the checkout to be as short as possible. The 6 default required fields would be sufficient.
I didn't know the country was a default required field because i thought only 6 fields were required and not changeable (please see the the printscreen, they have a lock in fornt of them). I can make the country field not required in the shopper field settings in the backend. But i will also check the VM2 guide for this.
I do had another question though, in regards to the password fields. If you don't fill out anything you still can checkout. Why? Please see the printscreen.

the scenario: user fills in login info, password, then bt st form, press checkout, gets ALERT that he is registered, and stays in the cart, doesnt show order_done page, the order is not done in vm aswell, but user is registered in joomla.
what has to be: user fills login info, bt st, press order, go to order_done, get email with account details + order info. It worked this way for me in 2.0.8a

I am using the halcyon template from Rocket Themes and did some customization to it, as per the client's requirements.
I did the following customization (Display, no core changes) to Virtumart, added your cart, categories, category, productdetails and virtuemart. I did not touch the vm user template. All this is save in my template folder as they are layout customization.
Could this be the problem and if so where can I go an correct it?

I did disable "Only registered users can checkout" as was mentioned earlier in the post.
The user completes all the fields and when he clicks on the check out button an alert appears to notify the client that the registration was successful and when you click on the button again nothing happens. Can you please assist me with this problem?

However, if you want to register, after filling all the data, delivery and payment methods when you send me your order will pop up a window with the following message: - Info: <div class='componentheading'> Registration Complete </ div> -. If you refresh this page or go to another, the goods remain under the basket and I logged in (based on the entered data). Then finish the deal.

I have the same problem. A guest user fills in all details and tries to checkout. When they click 'Confirm Order' they get this popup
'You must provide at least one recipient email address. Info; <div class='componentheading'>Registration Complete!</div>
The user account is registered but their order is not lodged.
If they try clicking 'Confirm Order' again nothing happens.

*edit* After some googling I found that that part of the displayed error is related to a corrupt vendor. In my case I had changed the vendor of my shop and deleted the previous vendor user in Joomla. For some reason this user was still being referred to as the vendor in VM and VM was trying to email them (but couldn't find the email address as they'd been deleted). So I've removed that reference but definitately still have the second part of the error

Thankyou so much for that :) I've upgraded the package and this issue is now resolved. Unfortunately I'm still having 3 issues:
1. I have two custom shopper fields (where did you hear about us and do you want to receive a newsletter) that I have set to display on the Registration page. These fields don't show up.
2. Shipping address is visible on the order itself after checkout (both to user and to admin) but it isn't saved as a normal, nicknamed Virtuemart shipping address. This is a big problem.
3. Following on from the second problem - a lot of our established users have 2 or 3 shipping addresses they use regularly. There is no way for them to just select these at checkout, they need to type everything in again. Can something be done here?

I've made huge changes to default_pricelist.php and it would be a shame to do it all over.
I also have a "small" feature request: would it be possible to hide the login form and instead show a login link. If someone clicks on that link the login form appears either in a popup or in a similar way as the registration fields or shipto form.

just bought this extension 2 days ago and im very happy with it.
I hove only one issue: After filling the requred fields i get an alert: Missing value for country.
I set this field as not required in VM.
Installed VM 2.08
I use this product from release 1.7, but have upgraded to 3.6 because of my upgrade to vm 2.0.12 from 2.0.6.
Now I have a strange issue (with big impact) with the shipment methods.
Using 2 shipment methods: Free pickup (without any config specs) and Free delivery in my town (config specified on zipcode range)
Default country field is filled in as Netherlands.
When a customer adds a product to the cart, the OPC cart is shown with only Free Pickup as shipment method (which is correct).
Customer has to fill in the address details, so I fill all required fields including my town's zipcode
Then I expect the enabled preloader to take care of adding the 2nd shipmentcode, but this is not happening.
When I do a browser refresh with the fields filled in, both shipment methods are visible (which is correct).
changing the zipcode to a range outside my town, leaves me with one shipment left (which is correct too), but
changing the zipcode back to the range belonging to my town does not give me back by 2nd shipment method.
In reallive situation I have many shipment methods based on weight and countries, so I need this functionality badly (one of the reasons I bought OPC).
Is anyone else experiencing this kind of problems ? How did you solve it ?
I believe it's not a VM issue, but specific to OPC....

My shop doesn't need to collect any billing or shipping information as we only offer a service and use the standard paypal method for payment.
Only logged in users have access to my shop, so they have already registered through joomla.
I've unpublished all address fields and only require First name, Last name, Email in virtuemart checkout.
I found the code edits below in an earlier post to this thread and have made these edits. All works fine except now I get an error "Please select a shipment method" and there isn't anything to select. The plugin is set with "Ship to address checked" Yes. Shipping method is the standard "weight_countries" - which I have set to free shipping with a min of $1.00.
What am I missing?

The system asks me to chose methode shipment and method payment but any choice is possible.

Original Platform: Joomla 2.5.4 - 7 / Gavick Pro myStore / Virtuemart 2 / Onepage Checkout (ver?) / Alatek Offline Credit Card plugin (
Problems:
1. Often had issues with the One page checkout where State doesn't update if you select country, also Ship state doesn't update at all even if Country is selected. Then if you select country in Shipping details it changes both Countries, but still doesn't update states properly.
2. I don't know whether this was VM2 or OPC but occasionally the checkout page would (out of the blue) stop displaying payment of delivery options.
I would muck about changing the options to show all del/pay options all the time (instead of subject to their given locations) back and forth and eventually something would work. I'd leave it on that for a month or two and then it would require another re-jig.
NOW:
last week the server's PHP was upgraded to 5.3.13 and this broke the site so I upgraded to Joomla 2.5.8 and VM2.0.12f
BIG MISTAKE! Couldn't go back because the site was already broken due to (I assume) J1.5.4/Gavick myStore issues.
And the upgrades caused (only) some of the categories to have a Fatal error: Class 'shopFunctions' not found issue in the mediahandler.php line 226 (Shophandler::safePath)
my safePath which I had originally set according to the suggested settings /home/soundrng/vmfiles, seems to be accepted by the VM config, and yet the mediahandler.php file couldn't seem to load the Shophandler::safePath setting.
And, though I didn't realise it, at the same time the Onepage checkout stopped working as well. No errors, just nothing happens on confirm.
So it's been 4 days, and finally I worked out a hack to fix the mediahandler.php (remove the offending Shophandler::safePath code and manually set the safepath in mediahandler.php at line 232) but maybe the same problem is related to Onepage checkout not working.
Either way I have tried disabling the Alatek Offline Credit Card plugin, have turned off ALL the js settings (in the VM config) for the checkout page, have set almost all the fields to not required. All seems to load properly (though the state selection still is dodgy) but nothing works.
Now, I check the shopper fields and there's an extra field that is displaying now called : address_type_name (address nickname) and I've made it not required and even tried disabling this in all views.
If I knew where the issue is I could fix it. What do I need to do? I need help - the client is beyond exasperated.

Well to do this I assume I had to re-join as a member, so I re-signed using my existing member details and paid via Paypal. It set my access to 14/nov/2012 - 14/nov/21012 (not very useful as it's stillnot letting me in). Also you post-Paypal payment page link gives an error.

I've just upgraded to OPC 3.6 and overall it's quite nice, but now I see that the "Update Quantity In Cart" and "Delete Product From Cart" buttons do nothing. In general it's not clear to me that any of the dynamic functionality is working, actually.

I have just installed the One Page Checkout plugin but I have some issue. I already tried with two different templates, one is from YOOtheme and the other is Beez2.
I'm using VirtueMart 2.0.14.
If i click on "view cart", the preloading bar stays forever and I cannot do anything else. I checked my JavaScript console and can't see any error.
If i disable preload option, the cart form is visible, but I cannot add any option to choose for payment and shipment (I see only the labels).
Am i doing something wrong?

In the cart, the discount of each product is added to the following row.
E.g. I have:
- product 1, normal price 90, discount 20
- product 2, normal price 50, discount 15
- product 3, normal price 90, no discount
The cart should be like this:

Instead, this is what i see:

I'm the One Page Checkout installed on my joomla site. But after I did the update of Joomla / VirtueMart, preload function stopped working.

It worked well, but when we turn on the preload stops working well.
What can I do?

All versions of One Page Checkout plugin works with the AJAX technology. Update is recommended but not required if you don't experience any problems. :)
Sorry VirtueArtzc but one page checkout is not compatible with all templates, is not with yagendoo templates for example. It can't be read through their framework, same will happen with other commercial templates.
Hi lindapowers, The One Page Checkout has been tested without problems on different Joomla 2.5 templates. (Gavick, Youjoomla, JoomlArt, Linelab.org 8) , Phoca Templates, VP ProMart, TemplateMonsters, Youtheme etc... ) The only exception are Yagendoo templates. (Yagendoo Productmanager)
Please contact Yagendoo developers for help or override components/com_virtuemart/views/cart/tmpl files.

I have two questions for OPC:
1. Module Cart:
I have the module in my left column. I add products to my cart (main column), fill in the fields,... Then go back to shop for another product. Now the link in my cart module changes from "go to Cart" to "confirm cart" (=buy) which I don't want. Is it possible to keep the "go to cart" in the left column?
For Germany and Austria it is legally a real problem to confirm the cart without viewing all details before.
2. Confirm Checkout.
One page checkout is fine, but is it possible to add another "are you sure to buy the goods now?" button when clicking the "order button"? Like the javascript popup window if you forgot to check the terms of service.
Or to show a summary of the cart?

OPC still has some strange behaviour, don't know whether it's a small bug or misconfig from my side.
1. Billing to text is displayed twice, second time just before the first BT-field. Looks like the helper is causing this.
2. Ship to zip-code is filled with value 1 by default, which leads to not displaying shipment methods based on zipcode
3. After entering coupon code and pressing save I get a box wtih the text that the coupon is validated, but I have to press Save again to see the result in the payments

Go to VirtueMart Configuration > Shipment Methods > Shipment > Configuration tab and check ZIP range. What range have you set for ZIP?
What version of AwoCoupon are you using?

Zip range is 3760 - 3768 in NL.
If I drop a product in the basket as a guest, and fill in a zipcode and country belonging to the range in the BT fields the shipment method does not show (not even when I have BT same as ST set). If I fill it in using the ST fields, the shipment method pops up.
Using no AWOCoupon but just the plain VM coupon functionality

OPC works fine for my customers site. Though the store owner thinks it is too fast for her customers as they are used to see an order summary after filling in all cart fields. She wants an additional confirmation like "Are you sure to buy now?" when clicking "checkout/order now" button. Is it possible to add this javascript in the template?

1. Is there possibility to set shipping method as default? I have only one shipping method and will be great if it will show without neccesery to set address.

This also works and adds a message stating that the total number is not a multiple of 12.
My problem is that when the amount of products is modified ( and the update button pressed) the calculation is not refreshed. The price total in the cart updates as it should but not the message related to the number of bottles.
I can see that this must be related to the update_form() function but I do not know how to go any further.
Any advice on how to proceed wold be greatly appreciated.

Just deleted the cache, reinstalled the plugin, uploaded the "cart" override folder.
I checked for JavaScript error but can't find none.

I've been trying to get this to work all day, but I can't get the guest checkout to work. If the register button is unchecked everything works fine, but when I check the register button I cannot submit the order. When I press the submit button a popup window tells me I have to fill in my name, which I already have. This funtion is a must have for me. How do I fix this?

Problem solved, I had unpublished the field "displayed name" in virtuemart backend user fields. It's strange it doesn't work anyway, but I can't tell if that is due to Virtuemart or your plugin. Anyway, issues solved, thanks for quick repsons.

The text "Use for the shipto same as billto address" is not part of the one page checkout template, it is part of the virtuemart language file. The best way to change it is using language overrides:
Extensions -> language manager -> Overrides -> NEW
You will then need to enter the language constant which, for that text, is COM_VIRTUEMART_USER_FORM_ST_SAME_AS_BT
In the box underneath enter what you would like it to say. save and that will change the text.
For reference, if you navigate to /languages/en-gb/en-GB.com_virtuemart.ini you can see the list of all constants and their corresponding text. You could edit it in that file but it is not recommended as it could be overwritten by virtuemart updates.

As it is now, when I check out, all the options are unchecked and the user is forced to actively choose one shipping method and one payment method. I would like one option to be pre selected so that I can get rid of that annoying pop-up that says "please choose payment" or "please choose shipping" upon pressing submit order.

I don't use zip code for my cart, it's a fixed shipping rate/state. And we don't even have zip codes in my country, at least none that I am aware of. Will try to install the responsive cart and past the error message I get from it.
Responsive version works without country fields.

But the problem still remains, the Payment method options are not aligned properly. Also, the payment method options show only when I log in which is weird because my site does not require user registration for items to be purchased.
Also see 'Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'setAttribute' of null ' in java console.
Solved! If you are using Gavick eCommerce templates, please rename templates/gavicktemplate/html/com_virtuemart/cart folder to old_cart and upload One Page Checkout html folder via FTP again.

Everything was running fine till i installed HTTPS on my site, using the code in my default.php from the override cart folder, as written in this topic : http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=103554.15
My settings on Joomla: Force SSL: No
Virtuemart:Eneable SSL: yes
If i'm now choosing "Paypal" as payment method and click on "checkout" the cart reloads and istn't redirected to paypal, you now have to click "checkout" once again, and you are redirected to paypal and can do your payment...
The weird thing on this is, that now 3 new orders are stored in VM with 3 differernt order numbers and the last one is confirmed by paypal......
I know that this isn't exactly your fault, but maybe you have got experience with this kind of setup, and since all other payment methods (without redirection, with "vm-payment standart" plugin) are working it's maybe a conflict with opc

The given code is now only on the category & productdetails page, no longer on the cart page....
Joomla https = off, virtuemart https= on == it works....

Well, I just think this plugin is awesome! Its simplifies the difficult checkout process of Virtuemart. Moreover, Virtueartcz solved my problem in a moment! I just wanted to prevent the user from entering the billing address, as it's the same as the shipping address. Just two lines of css :) thank you!

I often had the problem that some customers called me and told that they wheren't able to checkout because the preloader stays and stays....
Today i got the first call from a customer who knows wich browser he's using: Internet Explorer 8....
So i've done some tests on my own and it seems that the preloader isn't working with IE8 & IE7...(and i've more visitors with IE8 then IE9 or 10)
I've solved it by turning the preloader "off"; now it seems like everything is working like it should with these old browsers...
So i would like to ask if i've got any disadvantages without the preloader, or it is only for the optics?

Admittedly, the Linelabs plugin does provide a significant improvement over the default.
I have noticed though that the plugin does not allow me to enter zeroes into the product quantity box. Previously this was the only way to remove a product from the cart.
I have quite a complicated shop. Some products having 2, 3, 4 or 5 colour and style options associated and they will be creating quite long shopping lists. I expect they will get one or two wrong and will need to remove them from the list. There is now no way to do this!!!!

I need an important addition: When the shipping cost gets FREE, it should be shown to the customer , if not it's confusioning . How could add this?
If I need to edit so some strings, I should do from language file?
F.e. The register checkbox , it's not so clear. Normal user I think they can't understand they will register on the fly without confirmation email and usual process , so I need to change f.e.

There is still a bug in the helper file; it does not check if all classes exist first. It gives issues with other plugins. Could you make this change so I don't have to edit it with each update?

I have recently purchased this one page checkout, but have one minor issue with layout.
On the checkout page the header of the bill to area has no spacing or <br /> between the "Shopper Information Bill To E-Mail * "
Ideally this should be :-
Shopper Information - Bill To
E-Mail *
Which file do I need to edit to correct this?
