Before you test it. Work at best with a copy of your system first and never with your live system. Do NOT use the built-in ars updater,.. it will downgrade your version to 2.0.0 again, because the 2.0.1 is not official.

Your images probably still exist, go edit an existing product and activate the image again.
I had the same problem and that's what fixed it for me however i could not find a quick database alteration to do this for all products yet

just a question: I remember a virtuemart version with a different database. Is it now a decision to continue without using those bigint auto increment fields for child tables. There was a version with a database which contained such fields, say we had a product table with the product_id a.s.o and a child table say for the product price with the product_id but additionally an auto increment id as bigint. Did and does that disappear for actual versions of VM 2 and future versions of VM 2?

I tested version 2.0.1K. The upgrade went well. I still have the remaining issue with add to card. I can do everything else, e.g. ask a question is working perfectly. I am using a component Wishlist. The wishlist is like a cart and there I can add products. The difference I see in wishlist and ask a question is, that they are using URL with params and not post with hidden fields.
Please have a look into it.

Today I upgraded 2.0.1 K on Joomla 1.7.3.
I have selected Enable Automatic Selected Shipment and Enable Automatic Selected Payment. I am using only PAYPAL PAYMENT method using VM- Payment,Paypal method. Found two new options in Paypal Payment Method - Let buyers override their PayPal addresses? selected as [No] and Prompt buyers for a shipping address? selected as [Do not prompt for an address]. But still I am facing following problems.
1. Please select a payment method. I don't see any payment method to select. Since I have selected Enable Automatic Selected Payment and using only one payment method Paypal method should be automatically selected, But see a blank page with Please select a payment method. In fact I am seeing this since I shifted from 2.0.0 to 2.0.1 various versions till version 2.0.1 K. I hope this is solved in future versions or final version.

After a shopper adds products to cart, and the shipment and payment method are automatically selected, shopper is taken to page where a shopper who should be a registered user can either login or should register but the page shows login username and password and Add/Edit billing address information below containing just Email and I agree to the Terms of Service to fill. I have attached picture to show this. Instead of Add/ Edit billing address information how to add register below form with required fields?

Blank screen with the only HTML coming from the server being '<!-- SHTML Wrapper - 500 Server Error -->'. Both frontend and backend, and all pages on them, display nothing.
Here's what I did. I was trying to put up a ZIP folder as a downloadable product:
Created a new media item in the Media menu, gave it a unique name, set it for 'for sale', entered the files location on the server, selected 'Replace Thumbnail', browsed to an image on my machine, hit Save.
Here's a few errors from my server log that appear when I try to access my site after the bug:

The only way to fix it (that I found) was to reinstall Joomla. I reproduced this twice.
UPDATE: I managed to reproduce this a few more time and I also found a way to bypass it. If I first just upload the product image, set it as 'for sale', then save, I can then go back and point its URL to the ZIP folder. Kind of a roundabout way, but at least it doesn't destroy the site.
Freik, you must first upload the image using save. So you tried to replace a thumbnail of a non existing media.
Imho the real bug is that it shows "replace thumb" when you press on new.

Another little bug:
go to Configuration -> Shopper Fields.
The navigation toolbar in the footer does not show buttons "next, previous" etc. It just shows "Display # 10"
Someone changed the vmsite-ltr.css and now on the product details page the Related Products display in a single column. We had fixed this before so related products went across the page. Here is the correct css:

I am sending screenshots as attachments for my queries/problems as requested.
1. Please select a payment method. Since I do not want shipping details, I have not used the address, pincode, country and the rest shopper fields. do you have a menu item to the cart? you can createa hidden joomla menu, and add menu items to things like the cart.
and set the alias etc.
ALSO: there was a problem, I was getting with SEF links on the latest release. BUT its fixed already in the svn. So, I am sure he is working on it, and will change the download file soon.
Upgraded to 2.0.1 N on Joomla 1.7.3. I found following errors.
1. Products are not adding to the cart.
2. Please select a payment method with no payment method to select although using one method - PAYPAl and enabled automatic selected payment. This problem was there in K and earlier versions of 2.0.1. I have mentioned this in my post http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=98112.msg324069#msg324069 with screenshots.
3. Also to buy products shoppers go to page should show login or registration forms but containing login and billing forms. This problem also existed for me in previous versions and 2.0.1 N too. So my code is
$userId = $vendorModel->getUserIdByVendorId($vendorId); It has worked for me. But my products are not getting added to cart after moving to 2.0.1 N. Any idea?

I upgraded to Virtuemart 2.0.1 N today (Joomla 2.5.1).
Have been waiting for the Child custom field to work. So I made a new Custom field with COM_VIRTUEMART_CHILD_GENERIC_VARIANT with Cart attribute option.
Added this to the product that has children and got this error: getUncategorizedChildren sql error.
Did I make something wrong or is it a bug?

After installing VM 2.0.1.N I just get a white screen by entering a section or a product.
Before - with the previous package, I just got the product name on a all white site...
The product categories in the VM module don´t work propperly, too - when I click on a section not all products in there are displayed.

i dont have an menu item to go the cart.
My cart module its located in one div id="footer " with position: fixed ...
my index had a total of 10 random products ... (with 2 lines of 5 products each one)... and i got the button of "add to cart" in every product..
Now in 2.0.1 N if i click in "add to cart" button i cant see the popup and the VM - Shopping cart module doesnt work like it was before...
I've discover another thing.. in Shop User registration:
if we miss the "Name (* with asterisk too)" or the address form.... we can see the missed forms in RED light
If we dont select the User "Country (* with asterisk)" form ..... that dont go to RED obligation condition to user can see what he/she missed...

You can do that now, add an automatic child variant to your product. Add some childs to the product. All childs are real products. Important the children must not have a category!

Use -> instead of :: in the code $userId = $vendorModel::getUserIdByVendorId($vendorId); in the file user.php and the error T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM should be gone. I too faced this error when updated to 2.0.1 N on Joomla 1.7.3.
Update : Hi I can confirm that I downloaded the file to Dreamweaver and it actually tells me the code is incorrect but my php - knowledge is not good- but I then took out the $ symbol in front of the Vendor Model.
Line 129 now reads
$userId = vendorModel::getUserIdByVendorId($vendorId);
This looks ok as the front page of my website returned - Now I'll just look at other things -

I Installed the 2.0 version and not working for my Joomla.
I can see that you are updating the Cart day by day and really working hard. Is there any estimated date by which you will release the stable edition OR when you will see the cart is stable and getting no error, you will release it?

Hey guys - first up great job. The whole system is awesome and I'm sure there is a lot of time and effort going in. I saw a lot of ppl giving you hassle so thought I'd recognise and give you the props you deserve.
I upgraded to N today - as 2.0 wasn't sending the order emails to admin or displaying them in the admin side. So now I can see the order which is great - however, clicking on any of the links into the shop just go to a blank page - and I'm getting a lot of Server Error 500's when I click on Shop, Configuration, Shoppers - quite a few pages actually. I'm using K on another site and it's fine.
Also, tried to make a shopper field (Arrival Date) a required setting and got this info - vmError: TableUserinfos::modify table - Unknown column 'ArrivalDate' in 'february_virtuemart_userinfos' SQL=ALTER TABLE `february_virtuemart_userinfos` CHANGE ArrivalDate ArrivalDate VARCHAR(255)

Any time ago I install the VirtueMart 2.0.1 N (on my localhost). In my store I use 4 subcategories for some categories. And I can see categories, subcategories and products. When I try use VMSearch, on top page still my catalog and the following search results. When I check "show subcategories"( in VM admin), search results page show only search resuts (without my catalog), but when I try use catalog I can't see subcategories.
I this normal? Or I no understand somethings?
When press "Ask a question about this product", or "Print" I get HTTPS error, for example:

When testing my website with http://validator.w3.org/
The manufactorer module generates the following error's. I dont think its a big thing.

I think you r doing a great job with VM2! For now, the only problem i'm gettin with Joomla 2.5 and VM2.0.1N is a custom fields issue.
With 2.0.0 everything worked but since N i can get custom fields working
I've tried things like http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=90833.0 and other topics to start from zero but when i enter in Product > Custom Fields and select the ones i've created i get no AJAX and there is no options to select or filled below. I've tried saving but the custom field doesn't get recorded.
Probably because of "N"?

In backend it will order per the different columns but it will not take any effect on the frontend.
The ordering using the up and down arrows don't do anything except change the digit in the field but it has no effect on product ordering.

Have a big trouble with replace image procuct.
I already have image for prouct, when I try to replace image (with same name) in the product image page show two big images and in catalog show very big image. And I can save image in image card.

Use Configuration > Config Product Ordering ("Instellingen Artikelvolgorde") Choose for default value for example Product ID ("Artikel unieke code") or Date last changed ("Datum aanpassing artikel")
Underneath you can offer your customers other ways of showing your products.
Frontend wil show your products firstly in the default order

I upgraded from k to n on a test site. Frontpage is completely white, backend is reachable but some pages are also white. I completely reinstalled a backup of the k version, tried the upgrade again and same error.

I told adout not normal search, and now:
If I choose catalog and start search I see screen like in upper post (with catlog at the top).
BUT
If I choose poduct and start search I see normal result with out catlog at the top.
How can I fix it?

And one more when I press on "PDF button" result: TCPDF ERROR: [Image] Unable to get image: http://host-1.com/components/com_virtuemart/assets/images/vmgeneral/no.gif
file "no.gif" exist, because I use it for another way.

Thanks! made myself. But the VM shop is for someone else.
I know my host does not favor php 5.3x as according to him there are to0 many problems with the many extentions which are available. I agree as joomla most of the time is extended with a lot of modules/extentions. All of them first need to be compatible with this php version.

We changed the function and have now one function for print, pdf and so on. It is an easy thing to change. We will provide a manual
