Title: How to build a Product using children SKU's
Post by: csimmo on January 25, 2012, 00:40:01 AM
Hi there. Excellent product you have here, we are building a brand new website for a computer store.
I am trying to figure out how to build say a computer with its CPU, mother board ram etc in a drop down list using the custom fields section, but I want it to have all the pricing imported to the parrent product:
eg.
Computer system price = total cost of ite parts selected from drop down list
Drop down list uses information created from original product SKU
so Custom field CPU should have i7 2600 for $350 but have used SKU i72600
                                                i5 2500 for $250 but have used SKU i52500
I hope this makes sense
Also I would love for it to save this lists, and have them selectable for multiple systems
And for the icing on the cake, tick boxes next to these preconfigured lists to enable or disable a child SKU for a particular item, say a motherbord that isn't compatible with a particular system.

At a bare minimum though, I need to have the method from VM1.1 where I just use =350 or  =250 for the product to get the correct price, its horrible doing the calculations for each product using ex tax and minusing the price of the main product. Who's bright idea was it to take that out?

Thanks for the assist

Another thing I would like to see is bulk move products to category
