I know topic has been beat to ground but can't figure out even after trying htaccess redirects / other approaches.

Adding to cart takes to home page with empty cart. SEF Manipulation off for Virtuemart.
Any advice please?

Update:
When Jquery was unchecked in Virtuemart configuration, item was not added to cart. With it checked, item is added to cart, but I am still redirected to home page.
With firebug, I get this error:

});
Still need help, please.

worked for me. it does to frontpage content, BUT the cart is at the bottom.
The rest of your site is using SEF, but not vmart?
