Hi there,
I add product to a catagory with VM2.0. But the description can't be displayed at the frontend.
Is there any bug there? Please let me know how to solve it with thanks.
how can anybody help with NO information.
Can you see the product at all? are you using multilingual?
i have seen this issue before, what happened is the description was copied from another persons website, and when it was copied and pasted, it also copied the underlying html and css references, all of were not relevant to the site it was copied to. As the css references did not exist, nothing rendered in the browser, but did show on the description field in the back end product setup.
This may not be the problem, but try entering the content into a description field for that product manually, save, and see if it renders on the frontend
Thank you for your good answer,Geekhead. The problem has benn solved with your guidance.Indeed, the description must be typed manually and can't be used for copying information from other place. This is the bug. Why not using copy function?

No it is not a bug. You simply cannot copy from another webpage (or from a Word document) and paste that into an editor such as JCE as unrequired and maybe incompatible formatting/style code is also copied. The way to solve this is to first paste into a good text editor (I use NoteTab Pro) and then copy from there into your editor window. This removes formatting, which you can then add in.
