Hello everyone, i'm sarting an online flower shop, but i need an extension or some way to give the client the option to set the date and range based time(8:00h to 12:00h or 13:00h to 18:00h) for the delivery, and also a space for wriitng a message for a custom card.
Any ideas??

gift card message was easy enough to set up
date and time fields were not working very well for me at the time of site build VM 1.9.8 (older sub version). it seems to work much better in VM 1.9.8j and i am going to use the date fields instead of simple input fields used at the moment.
one part i cant get right tho. if i select multiple dates as a cart atribute it gives me tick-box style list. as a non cart atribute i see drop down box but there is one for each day. is there a option to display one drop-down box for multiple days as an cart atribute?

We write next months new plugins for product as date, hour, or color pickers to use as cart attributes with or without prices and added to the orders.
It's to many possibility to integer all in the core. Because date can be A year, a month, 1 day, a period ....
Color picker can be all HTML color or a restricted choice ...
The choice is add many in core but in all case some type of possible attributes are missing or
use a system plugin to add all possible types.
We use choice 2 because the core is lighter and the plugin are limited by the (3 Party) developpers ideas only.
But you can add a date picker javascript and a simple text input for your shop

For any Virtuemart shop owners want to set up a delivery date (day/month/year) for your products ( food, flowers, bakery, gift...) then this plugin is for you.
This is a Joomla plugin, but work exclusively for Virtuemart. After install the plugin like normal Joomla extension, activate the plugin and now your shopper can chose a delivery date during the check out process.
How it works:
- Shopper select delivery date by a calendar window at check out page.
- Shoper does not have to log-in, still can chose the delivery date.
- Admin can see the Required Delivery date in the order.
- Delivery date can be displayed in the order confirmation email
- The plugin store delivery date time inside Virtuemart order database.
With this plugin, you do not have to change or edit Virtuemart code, you can update Virtuemart anytime you want.
