I just thought some VM2 users might appreciate a list of available free shop templates, as long as we don't have a special section for this in the VM Extension Directory.

VirtueMart 2.0 was only released 3 weeks ago, so it will be a while before commercial templates become available, especially while we are waiting for Joomla 2.5. But with VM2 it is so easy to style the views that I would guess more VM themes rather than templates will be created. OTOH it is easy to do yourself.

Thanks for starting this thread. I cannot find any free template for VirtueMart 2.0 + Joomla 2.5, these all seem to be for older versions of Joomla.
Anyone know of any free or low-cost templates for VirtueMart 2.0 + Joomla 2.5?

Loris, as soon as you click these require you to purchase a monthly membership, they are NOT free. I emailed with the site owner and he confirmed that they have no free trials or free templates.
Apparently there are no free templates for VirtueMart 2?

...THERE IS NO FREE THEME OR TEMPLATE... When you want to download website says for subscription, which is paid.
I believe Only VirtueMart team can provide a free theme or template to work with. Being a designer with no programming background I face difficulties to work on joomla template and virtuemart theme.

I just wondering, If I don't want to use the full of template but just themes for category browser and product details page, what folders and files do I have to upload and where?
In Joomla 1.5 it was in: components/com_virtuemart/theme, but in J1.7 this path or structure is completly different.....

On the listing of all templates, there are eleven (11) things altogether to download for free. Just search for "free" while on any page, and you will find.
