I'm trying out the template and I like it very much.  I was looking everywhere for documentation.  I'm still getting used to Virtuemart 2.0 and was wondering if I need to place files for the template in Virtuemart somewhere or does the shoplab have overrides.

As an update I did get this mostly working but found that the category view is throwing out errors for all the php calls regarding the pagination.  I'm not a php pro so I just deleted all the offending calls and got it working.  Can't find a demo for the template, I'll keep looking.

Also I noticed that with Sub-Menus on your main menu, when you highlight the sub-menu items you get a darker tone for the item selected ( when you have the mouse over the menu item) , but when you click on the virtuemart menu item to enter the store, now all the sub-menus are highlighted. Please look at screen shots.

Maybe you vcn help me out? because in my shopcart still there isn't custom field information. When I look on the example page from linelab, I see the same problem. You can click on a customfield, but when you go to the cart, it disappears. It also doesn't take the variant price.

okay, I see it. in my webshop it didn't work.

I mailed you a 'customized' default.php, where it works for me either. Maybe you can use it if anyone else have the same problem.

I have installed Shoplab to VM2.0.0 and Joomla 1.7.3 Stable (via Extension manager). When I try to set Category Template to Shoplab I receive en error when browse to the shop:
The choosen template couldnt found on the filesystem: Shop

Something missing in my installation?

Hi 2irusik. It was not the right way. Go to Admin Joomla > Extensions > Template Manager > and make Default Shoplab Joomla template.

I have a comment about Shoplab template: cart picture at the top is not self explaining. It's not obvious that this is the cart. May be bigger size or/and label could help.

I have fixed most of RTL problem I found and can share my fixes, if you are interested.

In a registration form there is no background to the tooltips when hovering over the fields, so it does not always look good.

Sorry for the confusion, actually the first couple of products i tried was not free so i thought they all are premium. Your themes are great and if i get the next project in my hand i will register in your site for a premium account. Virtuemart is also awesome software and i will obviously donate towards it if i make profit.

I was working with the colorshop template and it is very trendy. I saw the cart floating in your demo site, but i cant get it worked in my installation. Also i can't put put items in it. I mean i set the module position "cart" but it does not showed in the opening portion when i click the cart image. Can you tell How to do it please? Also it will beautiful if you make little changes in the cart icon. Usually it is a empty cart and when someone add items to it then it also remains empty. It will look good if it changed to a icon where there have products in it.

And one little bug i identified that when someone clicks on the 'ask question about this product' then two fancybox appear. one is for default virtuemart, and another is for the template. It will be good to disable the default one.

Everything else it is a great work and great template.

Hi Anik, it is very easy. Please download and install VM2 Categories Joomla Module (Beta) > Go to settings of the VM2 Categories Joomla module (eg mod_menulinelab: Extensions - Module Manager - click on selected module) Select menu type containing virtuemart item (VirtueMart default layout/frontpage).
You need to set other parameters in module too:

Show Title: Hide
Position: Position-1
Status: Published
Assigment Module: On All Pages
Show sub-menu Items: Yes
Show VM Category description: Yes
Menu Tag ID: shoplab

Actually i don't know before to add the menu tag id, so after adding it it worked great. But the problem is i'm using the colorshop theme where the shop menu looks little not good.
Do you have a colorshop set of this module or i need to modify the css manually? Thanks for your step by step guide.

are there no instructions included with the templates to configure them they way they display in the demo? I installed glasslab and I have to use trial and error to find the correct module positions, as well there is code missing from modules that are present in the demo, (ex. search icon in search bar in the header is missing from downloaded template.) Do I have to go through all the source code of the demo site and patch it up? what about menu styles and all that? do I have to scour the demo site for class tags to configure it the way it shows? Most templates I have bought/downloaded, even free ones, come with a pdf explaining how to set up the theme...

on Linelab.org demo site are used Joomla sample data. For installing templates or extensions from linelab.org you don't need any quick start package or sql dump. Installation is really simple. Module positions are same as in default template beez. Please download user guide for premium templates and read info.txt in folder of your template or f.a.q. If you would have any problem, please contact support. Thank you.

I was looking your colorshop template and i saw there is a option to enable a slideshow in homepage. I enabled it but it says i need to assign a slide show module also to get it worked.

in the new 2.0.4 release there are some template changes and I have some problem to visualize category module in position-7 but only in certain product pages

I have it set as default in Joomla Templates, I have it also set as template in virtuemart and have it set for category as well in virtuemart templates section.

Could someone help me out please, I am still getting this error when I enter a category, the main store front site is fine though.

Need a manual or instractions for newbies to describe the overrides exist in Shoplab over Virtuemart. For example product images displayed in menu don't open in lightbox or related products are not shown. I have understood that Shoplab has style or configuration files that override the default VM files but don't know which are these in order to customize them. As I said I am new at all this and don't know much yet.

Also, is there any way to auto update Shoplab without reseting custom settings (for example at template's css)? For now I think the only way is to uninstall the old version and install the new one. I just upgraded to VM2.0.6 and I am not sure but I think Shoplab has been changed its version from the one was compatible with VM2.0.2 and need upgrade.

If you get

"The choosen template couldnt found on the filesystem: Shoplab"

as an error....... Try this.

1. Go into VirtueMart > Configuration > and set the template to DEFAULT JOOMLA
2. Then go to your MENU item for "VirtueMart" > EDIT it and change the default Template to Shoplab (or whatever other template you're using)
3. Save and Enjoy.

Is there any way to update Shoplaab (to 2.1) without losing my custom settings and changes to files (such as css files)?

Problems with new Shoplab (2.1):
1. In a product's page the thumbnails of images (the ones that when click on, the lightbox appears) don't exist!!! Instead of that the images are shown in their original size
2. My subcategories are not ordered properly, I have chosen to display 3 categories per row and it shows 2 in a row, 1 below them and 2 more below, after showing a horizontal line
3. Something that exist from previous versions, the product images of products displayed in a module (eg menu) open the image in a new window. Neither link to the product page, nor lightbox is working. I have used a hack for that in previous versions but it has to be fixed.
4. No cart image??

Thank you very much for your templates, and especially the free ones. I understand that today, with the crisis, it is difficult to maintain. If the user guide for premium templates it's free, I would like to know where to download it.

hi
i love the catagory template in the shop lab theme, what i want to do is extract the catagory bit out of the template so i can ues it with my own template

i replaced the defult catagory file from the shoplab theme to the virtumart catagory view folder and  iv found the css file from the shoplab theam and am trying to intergrate it into the assests css in virtumart.  however i cant get it to look exactly the same

any ideas?

How to change the green colour in shoplab template

I'm really interested in either your free or premium VM2 templates, but is it possible to use your template only for vm2 pages? Main joomla template would be something different and only category, product, checkout page would have a kind of override the main template and vm original templates?
Is it possible, how should your shoplab or colorlab templates installed, the usual way and published in extensions>templates> make default, even if I want another template default for the whole page?

I've all set it up and customized it, except i cant make it to show prices.

I have set the prices in virtuemart admin, i can see them there altough
they wont show up on the front end they only show "Call for price".

Would you have any idea why is this happening... ?

Hi all! @VirtueArtcz After a clean install of joomla, shoplab and VM it's all working right! :D But I noticed the Custom fields (in product page) are not well-ordered.

I have no clue about working in PHP, only some HTML and CSS.
I will like to show the CF in a table, or in any other way but well-ordered.
Can anyone please give me some help/advice with that?

I have a problem with Shoplab.
I use Joomla 2.5.9 and VM 2.0.20 with Shoplab.
My store has main categories with one level of subcategories. Recently I set up the whole system and site because I thought the above was a bug due to categories (I had more than one nodes of subcategories).
In some categories the product's page seems wrong regarding the modules that have to appear there (see screenshot).

The weird is that I may have

Cat1
-Cat2
and a Prod in Cat1 and Cat2

If I go to Home->Cat1->Prod, the page doesn't seems right
If I go to Home->Cat1->Cat2->Prod, the page is right with all the modules.

Looking at the URL when I visit the Prod I see /cat1->/cat1/cat2->cat1/prod.

I think the bug is in Shoplab Template (Colorshop did the same) cause I haven't found it in any forum as a VM bug...
Please help...!

trimixdive you can use css customization (styles.css). I use the Firefox (or Chrome) inspect element feature to make my tests and see what should I change an then I go to the apropriate file to do the final changes.

The first thing aftre installing VM was to create a menu for Virtuemart Front Pagr (index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=virtuemart) and made it as my site default (home) menu.
I now have created another Virtuemart Front Page menu to place it at Pos 1.
This doesn't helped...

Basically, what I need for my site is to have different modules for the Home Page and the categories.
