I am using the latest version of Virtuemart 2. My vendor currency is NZ$ and nowhere else on the site is any other currency used as all sales at present are local to NZ. My cost price should therefore be the same as my Base Price. BUT with a cost price of NZ$39 I land up with a base price of 22.73. Can anyone explain this anomaly?
VM2's math works flawlessly, so it is probably one of your calculation rules that affects your cost price. First set 'Pricing rules overrides' - 'Tax' and 'Discount' in the Product information tab to "Apply no rules". If your price still is wrong, unpublish your calculation rules in order to see which one is your problem.
Thanks for the advice: I unpublished and then removed all the tax and discount rules I had created but the problem remains. The problem does not seem to arise if I make the currency Euro. Is the place where I set the default currency in the shop/vendor?
I also now have a problem where the add to basket function does not appear under the product description; I cannot view the product description and I cannot access the detailed product view. All I get is the list of available products in a category. None of the necessary functions appear on the screen or work?
I would deeply appreciate any advice or ideas on how to solve this... BTW am using release G.
your rules itself have a currency. You can have a shop running in euro, but is adding constantly 20 USD.
Maybe you activated catalogue mode?
I have exactly the same problem.
Not in catalog mode
Only using AUD
Rules set in AUD
All rules disabled
Problem seems to be Euros is sitting in back end calculations somewhere.
Problem is we can't find how to reset it.
