Hi davidea,
I'm currently not aware of anybody working on the italian translation. If you want to help with that, you will find some useful information here:
http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=89336.0 (http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=89336.0)
http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Writing_translation (http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/wiki/Writing_translation)

From my own experience with the german translation I would recommend to use the 'Missing-T' Joomla component for the actual translation and an editor like 'Notepad++' for finetuning (i.e. setting some html tags correctly) the language files.

Yeah, that is the way it should work, and jjk adds it to the core and uploads it, when Kess is so good in organisation, then she should pm me to get direct svn access. I hope also that the communities provide later install packages.

BTW: atm the language files for the aio are small enough to contain all languages

I just wondered if it would make sense to install a 'Transifex Community Edition' on the virtuemart.net Developer Portal some time in the near future?

I already started with this, but I dont have enough energy and time left to administrate it. you have all my support (mentally haha), when you do it.

Installing transifex requires Python on the server. Is that already available?
However, ...let's postpone this idea for a few weeks until I got my new website completed ;-)
