I just installed version 1.9.8f and mods_virtuemart_allinone.1.9.8f module, but the cart module refuses to show content, I put a screen to see the problem.

Can you give us more about your environment .. may vbe that can help us to solve the problem.

     Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
     Server version: 5.0.92-community
     Protocol version: 10
     User: @ localhost xxxxxxxx
     Character Set for MySQL: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)

And you are using Joomla 1.7?
Because for me it works for Joomla 1.5, but not for Joomla1.7.

yes, I'm using joomla 1.7.0, I did not test with this version of joomla 1.5.

I have another site on the same hosting or joomla I use 1.5.23 and virtuemart 1.1.9 and I have any problems.

missing image / components / com_virtuemart / assets / images / vmgeneral /cart-loading.gif.

It lacks any case, most images are in folder. I've found mostly in older version but not cart-loading.gif.


anyone have a link to a shop that works with joomla 1.7 and virtuemart 1.9.8?

I installed the version of joomla 1.6.6 1.9.8RC2F and the cart work. I'm looking, I do not. the problem would be in the file vmprices.js or chosen.css. But I'm not pro enough to find, I'm not even sure it comes from these files.
I would like to see a link or cart works with joomla 1.7

I have write the most code of cart, the missing Gif can't break the module itself.
The <no javascript> is when you deactivate javascript, then the cart can't be update dynamicaly. for this i prefered adding a message , i find this better then a false display of cart.

You can't compare 1.1.9 and virtuemart 2, the code and javascript are totally different.

I had many little problem with Ajax update with joomla 1.7 , because sometime the returned json is not well formated but only with joomla 1.7.

The best where i had the problem on my servers then i can solve it im some minutes, but why now the returned values are not standard ??? Tks to Joomla member if he can always return the logical response  in XHR ;)

I just made two installations with the English version and the cart work. I did the same installtion (virtuemart same file, same low sql) and the cart does not work. A problem in the French version?

[Re Edit :D ] Ok I put the same name for the SQL database, so I handed over the base french version
and it came back. The problem therefore lies in the database between sql French version
and English.

Don't worry about your english :)

I had the same probleme as you. Sometimes we found errors only when the web site was in french. It has to do with the way we loaded the language file.

there will be new version soon. The last thing we are fighting atm is the cart and the session. The cart tooks too much place in the session, which leads in some cases to problems, so we have to optimize it.

It should work.

If it does not than it is a Joomla problem.

We do have the french translation. But it has not been added in the release.

If I understand your question correctly you want to have your web site  in french, and VirtueMart in english.

1) It should work like that.
If it does not work like that, it is a Joomla problem, not a VirtueMart problem.

2) I was also mentionning, that since i am french, (and Patrick also), we do have the french files for VirtueMart. But they were not included in the last release.

I have virtuemart in French and I did nothing special, if your files could walk in French you send them to me?

Otherwise use the default language is French in joomla, and I found no way to virtuemart in English, should I delete the files French to get there.

If I put joomla in English language by default it works, so it's not a problem joomla, but a problem of language file.

well i am sorry then for the misunderstanding. I though we did not include the french version.
