Title: Different order total in Paypal
Post by: jeetjezeg on February 06, 2011, 21:23:35 PM
Hi, I assumed Papypal worked ok in my Virtuemart installation (1.1.6), when chosing Paypal as payment option, you see the right price of the order on the first step when entering Paypal. In this case, 274,30 euro.

But after logging in to the Paypal account, the total amount changes to 326,42 euro. I don't know why this is happening. Is it a bug?

This is the order in Virtuemart
Subtotal : €260.61
Shipping and handling : €11.50
VAT : €41.61
Total: €274.30

This is the order when checking out in Paypal:

Total object: €262,80
VAT: (19,000% in the Netherlands): €52,12
Shipping and handling: €11,50
Total: €326,42 EUR

(I've translated it because it's in Dutch)

Does anyone here got any clue why this problem occurs? I really need some help on this one...

I have the same problem in one of my sites too - which uses and old GST Hack - I also noted that PayPal have a new set up of their own.

I solved the problem with another site 1.1.6 using the shipping address instead of the GST details and recall setting the Tax in PayPal to Zero - but now in 1.1.7 PayPal will not keep the tax at all -no matter what I do. Setting GST to 10% in PayPal doesn't work either.

Has Standard been abolished are we required to use the API version?

Thanks
