Title: Can VM1.5 handle this?
Post by: vetoveljet on December 28, 2010, 18:40:14 PM
One product - lets name it as "shirt Demo"
There is 8 sizes available:
4 - 8 - 12 - 16 - S - M - L - XL
And 9 different color
Black, blue, red, yellow, white, green, orange, navy, sky blue
As well as you can get it with short or long sleeves.
So there is quite many combinations.
But I have different numbers per product in stock - like
Size S, colour black, short sleeve 5
Size M, colour yellow, long sleeve 8
etc.
Will it be possible to handle this from admin or do I have to create every combination as own product?

Have studied this now and wonder if there is any other way - easier I mean. I have one product that has 9 colour and 9 different sizes as well. So to get stock levels displayed correctly I have to create 81 child for 1 parent...

Would it be possible that I just create one child for parent based on colour. As colour is main item and after choosing colour then available sizes are shown as per availability. So can I create "grand child" item product or is there any other options available?

vetoveljet,

there is no other way to keep up with stock of individual attributes.
