WHAT AM I DOING WRONG! It wont accept anything
Yes, this was weird for me in the beginning as well. You need to type in your Joomla admin password first, then it'll take you to the page where you get to type in your Trans Key. Make sure you click save at the bottom.
You enter your auth.net transaction key for "Current Transaction Key:"
and your Joomla admin login password for "Please type in your User Password:"
Also, see my post http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=42993.0
for further :D trouble later.
Took me until reading this post to figure it out too! :o
ahhh, virtuemart crashed!
i too could not figure out trans key until i read this post. some more verbiage would help.
when i put in my joomla pw, the browser lagged for a bit then timed out into a 404 page. when i went back into virtuemart, i get a pup window says "Error: Payment Method ID was not provided." and then it kicks me back to joomla admin home.
no other forum posts found with that error. please advise.

Jason, I had the same error and your post is all I could find. Hope this helps you get around it like it did me...
Note: I was in extended view of the admin... not sure if that matters...
As it was loading the page before the JScript error... I hit a drop down menu and went to a differnt page.
I got the same error but it didn't kick me out. I went back into my payment types and recofigured CC and it worked.
Not sure its the best solution, but it got it out of a un-usable state for me.
