Hello,
How do I setup PAYPAL PRO on MV 1.1?
Thank you in advance!
JC
Do you have a PayPal Pro module?
So in answer to my question,,, I need to buy a PAYPAL PRO MODULE?
Yes
I cannot find a PAYPAL PRO module for VM 1.1 ... can you point me in right direction? Thanks for your help PETER
PayPal Pro will be available in VM 1.1.1
That's very interesting to hear about PayPal Pro being available in VM 1.1.1
Do you know if this will be just the US version? Or will it also cover the UK/EU version?
Thats a good question GORMA! Will it cover UK/EU version?
Currently it is US version, UK version will be add later on.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! :-) Not what I wanted to hear
There are so many UK developers crying out for a working PayPal Pro UK module. There are already working US ones but for the UK there are none for VM 1.1 (that work correctly)
Once the module is done for the US is the UK totally different? Or is it something that will quickly follow?
*fingers crossed*
Has anyone used this "fix" for paypal pro?
Before I jump on this I'd appreciate some feedback.

VirtueMart 1.1.0 revision 1399 Complete Package
+ added PayPal Website Payments Pro Module
The nightly build notes suggest pro has been built in, but after installing the new files (I'm using 1407), I find no option for pro.
I'm sure it's just me being a shmendrik, but what am I missing?

What happened to Paypal Pro that was supposed to be included in the 1.1.1 update?? Just about every other cart in existence has this built in now...
It is postponed, because express checkout was not working, once we sort that out, will be added or provided as separate download.
Do you have an idea when this will be available? Thank you.
BTW, I would be willing to use/test this without the express checkout functionality. Yes, I know it is against the rules....... But, desperation knows no bounds....
Would someone be able to give an estimate on the timescale for paypal pro UK module?
Im in real need of this as I cant open my store without it :(

I am a developer. i write the paypal pro module and subscriptions for http://myjoomlaextensions.com. they paid me 230$. the manager martin eric asked me write the paypal pro uk. i wrote it and sent the script to him. he promised that he would pay me the next day. but it seems he disappeared. he stole my code.
man. that sucks.
how far back ago was that? and what's happening to the code now?
if it's just sitting there, perhaps a few of us could chip in with donations and release the code as open source. even possibly integrate it into the main virtuemart branch.
how much were you originally expecting to get for the uk version?
donations may not cover it but if that's really what happened then at least if you take that route these guys who didn't pay you wouldn't be able to benefit financially out of it.
just an idea.
http://myjoomlaextensions.com
They have PayPal Pro US and PayPal Pro UK
Thanks for your idea. i will make it open source.

thanks for your idea. the code is put on the shelf of www.myjoomlaextensions.com. they sell it for $52. i want to make it open source. but do not know how. thanks again
If your want to make the code open source, change the license to GPL, zip the module files up and add them to a post in this thread.
People will soon find it.
looks like you already did.

Hey Cowboy, just noticed you released it as open source :)
Gonna test this out over the next couple of days.
Thank you for your time and generosity to the community!
have you tried this yet CrowdOfOne?
I am going to try it now, hope it works, and thank you from me too to Cowboy. If it works I volunteer to make you a header for your site. LOL

Hi all.
Loosing some hair here, and in desperation I'm probably going to be jumping into another store package.. however..
I have loaded Joomla 1.5 (latest version) and Your VirtueMart version: VirtueMart 1.1.1 stable [One Step Closer]
Checked for all upgrades.
I looked for the Payflow pro solution on this site http://myjoomlaextensions.com but the site no longer exists.
I've gone through these suggested fixes
After taking the following steps, Payflow Pro seems to work on our VM1.1 site:
1. Make some changes to the file
../administrator/components/com_virtuemart/classes/payment/payflow_pro.php
a. Change all instances of mosgetparam() to vmGet() in the file.
b. Change line 219, FROM:
$database->query( "SELECT ".VM_DECRYPT_FUNCTION."(payment_passkey,'".ENCODE_KEY."') as passkey FROM #__{vm}_payment_method WHERE payment_class='".$this->classname."' AND shopper_group_id='".$auth['shopper_group_id']."'" );
TO:
$database->query( "SELECT ".VM_DECRYPT_FUNCTION."(payment_passkey,'".ENCODE_KEY."') as passkey FROM #__{vm}_payment_method WHERE payment_class='".$this->classname."'");
c.Change line 259, FROM:
Code:
'TRXTYPE' => 'A'
TO:
Code:
'TRXTYPE' => 'S',
2. Access the Payflow Pro payment method in VM. Put in your details. To enter a password you:
"have to first enter your Joomla site admin password to make the 'transaction id' field active. Then enter your Payflow Pro password into the 'transaction id' field and re-enter your Joomla site admin password into the password field and submit." See: http://www.pdncommunity.com/pdn/board/message?board.id=payflow&thread.id=101
Hope this works for you too.
it didn't work for me.
I've changed all the permissions, made sure everything was writable, have combed the Online documentation and Websphere world for an answer to get the Verisign Payflow pro to take in a Password and get setup properly, ... to no avail.
I'm not an expert with PHP but I'm no hack either, and I can't get this to work.. so the simple question is.. does it work?
If it doesn't... hey, no harm no foul, I'll use something else and quit loosing sleep over this... if it does work and someone there can get it to work... can I pay you to get it set up? Can I get blow by blow instructions?
I need a working solution; I understand the amount of work and effort you guys put into VirtuMart and I'm grateful as hell, so I'm willing to make a call, or get together with a CC# and if you can get it working.. fantastic.
Now, I am talking about the Verisign Paypal Pro/Payflow module This one here

Perhaps I'm using the wrong module and it is as simple as that... The Paypal web site for the account is http://manager.paypal.com ... so that is the area I'm attempting to get established.
The problem I have is at this module area of the setup...

this is the error message I get at Checkout

Error: Failure in Processing the Payment. Technical Note: The required passwird is empty! The payment method settings must be reviewed.
Error: Failure in Processing the Payment (payflow_pro)
I am very grateful for any help you can apply to my project... Thanks in advance.
