I have noticed that when I turn on Search Engine friendly URL's within Joomla 1.5.1 with VM 1.1.0 RC2 that my entire catalog links go to error 404 pages. I have renamed my htaccess.txt to the .htaccess as instructed to do so by Joomla.

My standard Joomla article and contact links function fine either way. Is there any solution to this yet? Or is there some more configuration that I am missing? SEO is pretty important to us.

Joomla's native SEF does not work with VirtueMart.

Possibilities, but not ready yet are sh404SEF (http://joomlacode.org/gf/project/sh404sef/news/) and Smartsef (http://www.smartsef.org/forum/index.php?topic=71.0) and perhaps other 3rd party solutions.
