in /themes/default/templates/checkout/login_registration.tpl.php:
<div class="stretcher" id="login_stetcher">
should be
<div class="stretcher" id="login_stretcher">

I checked and this is still in revision 1319.

problem with IE -
change from <div class="stretcher" id="register_stretcher"> to <div class="stretcher" id="login_stretcher"> .
