Title: [TRACKER 1555] When SSL active from payment page get redirected to VM frontpage

Joomla 1.0.13
VirtueMart 1.1 r1029

In backend Configuration -> Security tab -> SECUREURL I have https://www.example.com for 'Shop areas which must use https' have 'accounts' and 'checkout' enabled.

When SSL active during checkout from 'Payment Method' progress bar I get redirected back to VirtueMart frontpage

Database Version: 4.1.21-standard
PHP Version: 4.4.7
Web Server: Apache/1.3.37

Using https in the same config, with "Generally prevent https connections?" selected I get kicked out to the VM frontpage when going from Ship address to ship method. When "Generally prevent https connections?" is unselected the sale can be completed, but the site is then entirely in https.

J! 1.5 r9292  VM 1.1 r109 :

With https set up, just going to checkout empties the cart. "Generally prevent https connections?" makes no difference in this version.

Both with PHP 4.4.4 - I am unable to test PHP5 with https enabled due to server configuration issue.

The issue still exist in post beta 2 rev 1085.

Even the 'Shop areas which must use https' don't switch to https
