Title: View/Print a complete Price List
Post by: Pisu on October 25, 2007, 14:47:47 pm
Hi, I have done a small add-on for VirtueMart, that make possibile for the user to view, print, or download in PDF the Complete Price List, divided by categories. It works also on Joomla 1.5 and VirtueMart 1.1.

The package I'm attaching is ready for unpacking in the website root folder. It do not overwrite any file, and do not modify any other feature of VirtueMart.

Once unpacked, create a new menu item, whereever you what, with this link:
index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.pricelist

Between lines 8 and 18 of file shop.pricelist.php, you can set some options:
$onlyregistered = true --> allow access only to registered customers
$displaymanuf = true --> display a column with the manufacturer name
$productlinks = true --> make the products names clickable, with links to product details page
$discountcolumn = true --> display a column with the discounted price

Translations: italian, english (by thepisu), dutch (by huub), swedish (by Jerker Lundin), russian (by beagler), french (by psychotik_noise), german (by Bolle), czech (by MinstrelJT), serbian (by dsmarket), spanish (by grafika & leetorrens), polish (by Rzast), slovenian (by Siclaw), hungarian (by Csurulya Laszlo), romenian utf-8 (by Csurulya Laszlo), greek utf-8 (by okouliko)

Package updated, available on VMItalia download area:

WOW, this is fantastic!!

I was the first to download it and had it working within 1 min. :)

One question .....

Would it be possible to show the prices with taxes included? now it shows prices excl. taxes. another solution would be two columns with both prices.

I also noticed (but this is ok) that it doesn't take into account reduced prices from special products.

Thanks for an amazing piece of work.

One more thing in noticed .....

In shop.pricelist.php there is still hardcoded the title ("Listino completo").

I've also added the dutch language file.

Great, I modified the package adding your language file, and translation for the title (it's attached in the first post)!

You're right I'll work on adding tax to prices...  I developed this for a customer that sold primarly to companies, so they wanted net price...

Here some screenshots.

Thanks for adding the dutch language file.

Another handy idea might be to have he list ordered for each category on sku or productname.

Hi, I'm attaching an updated package that add the tax to prices! In detail:

If the current user's shopper group is set for not showing taxes (example Wholesale), the prices are net (without tax), just like before.
It the current user's shopper group is set for showing tax (common case), the text "including tax" is added in column header, and prices are displayed including tax!

@huub: please check the dutch translation of "including tax"... I used an online tool for this...

For ordering, you can manually change it, editing the "shop.pricelist.php" file, searching for "ORDER BY p.product_sku" and replacing with "ORDER BY p.product_name" (twice).

Updated package in the first post (http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=33101.msg99159#msg99159)

This is getting better and better.

It was already fantastic and now it is amazing .....what will be next?! :)

I've made a few little changes to the dutch language file.

Thanks again for your hard work, it is appreciated.

This was a wonderful add on and so easy to use.

I saw that a pricelist is accessable to all evan if I have choosen to show prices only to registered customers.

Is there an easy way to check this?

I add a swedish translation

This looks great, but for some reason it only pulls my first category.

(example)

Home -> Online Store -> Category 1 -> SubCatA1
                                         Category 2 -> SubCatA2

For some reason it only shows the first Category 1 amd SubCatA1 but not Category 2 / SubcatA2

*Side Question*

Would it be possible to just pull up a specific Category - Say only Category 2?
Title: Re: View/Print a complete Price List
Post by: Pisu on October 26, 2007, 22:25:06 pm
I saw that a pricelist is accessable to all evan if I have choosen to show prices only to registered customers.

Try the modification attached in first post (http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=33101.msg99159#msg99159)! Here I added also your translation.
At top of the file shop.pricelist.php, I've added the variable $onlyregistered, if set to "true" (in this package is), visitors not logged, that try to access the pricelist page, have only an advise message displayed. Note that this message has to be translated in dutch and swedish (look in language files).

Add an ahref link to the Category ID and you have a site map?

What do you mean???

For some reason it only shows the first Category 1 amd SubCatA1 but not Category 2 / SubcatA2

*Side Question*
Would it be possible to just pull up a specific Category - Say only Category 2?

For the first problem, I really don't know... It's all working to me, also with many categories and subcategories.
For the "side question", you can open the file shop.pricelist.php, and modify line 180 (or 184, if using new VM_PriceList_Reg pack), like this:
Code: [Select]
$query .= "WHERE #__{vm}_category.category_publish='Y' AND #__{vm}_category.category_id=2";

Change the "2" number with the ID of the category you want to display.

It contains a modification, for enabling access only to registered customers. And I've not yet tested it...
Maybe later I'll put it in the first post!

Tested and package updated in the first post!

What I meant before is that this tool would be a good way of doing a site map if the products entries clicked through to their page it would be good spider food linked in from the main menu.

Now I have used it, and the registered option is also good. But now in a different way.This is a great management tool, if the name of the product was a link to the actual product in the database (in  other words the price list contained links to the products which the user could click on) it would be a great tool for store managers to easily update all the products on their website firstly because they can easily see all the prices on their site on one page. And secondly by clicking the link and then editing more quickly any updates. Making  some simple views in VM helps to give non technical person a working  process for updating parts of their website. I've installed this and used the SEF404 to rewrite the url to something friendly. So having links to products in there would be a great addition.

Great great great modification, love it.
My only issue is that most of my products have a discount applied to them. Is there a way to introduce this? Either as an extra column or as a deduction from the price?

Also would love to see the product names appear as a link, surely this would be a great tool for visitors and i'm guessing would help the webcrawlers get more info..?!

Well spoken, Pisu!

People should appreciate what you offer them and not expect that you also make/change it the way they want/like/hope or wish. If you do they are lucky, if not they should either do so themself or hope someone else does it.

Of course there's nothing wrong with suggesting ideas ...... but it is not so that the original developer should be the one adding these. In a community like this we should build together based on our knowledge, other capacities, our available time and our wish to help eachother.

Thanks again for a great piece of work Pisu!
Title: Re: View/Print a complete Price List

It would be great if you could assist in helping someone else make the changes i suggested, especially the discounted price one. Without sounding pushy this change would be the one that makes the whole thing useful to other users. Without it the mod simply looks after your original clients wishes, but should they one day use the discount feature (a high possibility) then the change would be needed.

Go on, take a deep breath, dive in and fix it up. You'll feel better.  ;)

You can use SEF Serice Map for this. It prints out product name and short desc, but does not display product price

Well, we should we have a discussion about that.
BTW i'm trying to collect all the hack available for 1.0.x series, in order to make them comfortable to find and use.
Managing knowlodge in these way should help the developer too (i mean, i think they already know what modifications are already available throught hacks and which are not, but a well managed section about hack could help sometimes. E.G. the hack of XE hack for multiple product currency price talks about three hacks linking back to the forum itself. they could be managed throught content or categories or throught a wiki or other tools.)
I noticed that something like that already exist
http://virtuemart.net/index.php?option=com_openwiki&Itemid=109&id=mods:mods
but there are listed only few mod.
I will collect others and then send to.. i don't know who :P

thanks

don't know actually the html tag in which price is enclosed nor the var for the price as i've not opened the source and tested the hack only for a few seconds, but you could try to put the price var into these tags

<font sytle="text-align: right !important;"> $price_var </font>

Post by: Pisu on October 30, 2007, 14:16:57 pm
<font sytle="text-align: right !important;"> $price_var </font>

Argh! I hate the FONT tag... You can add a RIGHT style alignment to TD tags containings prices (and its header).
Line 56:
Code: [Select]
<td width='70' style='text-align:right'><strong>" . $VMPL_LANG->_PRODUCT_PRICE . "</strong>" . $inctax . "</td>
Line 74:
Code: [Select]
<td style='border-top:1px dotted black; text-align:right'>" . $CURRENCY_DISPLAY->getFullValue($user_price["product_price"]) . "</td>
Line 94:
Code: [Select]
<td style='text-align:right'>" . $CURRENCY_DISPLAY->getFullValue($user_price["product_price"]) . "</td>

And for PDF output, line 50:
Code: [Select]
$cols['product_price']=array('width'=>50,'justification'=>'right');

Mmmm, this is good, maybe I'll put in my package...

Excellent Job Pisu!
I noticed that all the listed  prices are the default retail prices. I sell practically all my products in discount prices and it will be a great idea if there are 2 price columns listed on the report: One can be the "Retail Price" and the other titled "Special Price" or something like that which will make the price list also a very useful sales tool.
Keep up the great work.

Yes, in view/ print mode all the characters are ok, and I use serbian_lat.php translate.

Yet another thing, when I drop all data from VM, and upload it again, i can get the price on Price List. On standard preview of categories, prices are ok

First of all I have to say that this is a great ad on.

A few points:

Bug (at least on my site)
1. when having more prices for one product (order more, pay less) there are no prices shown (€0,00)
2. Wrong translation in dutch lan. file line 10 and better translations (see attachment for new one)

Some extra features for the future
1. Productname => link to product
2. reorder possible on Product SKU, name and price
3. SEF

I'm no php wizard, all I can do is test and give feedback.

Hey boys, please take a look at the first post!
http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=33101.0

I've updated the package...

Of course, you can adjust the label for discount price column (now "Discounted"), changing your language files.
I hope someome will be happy today :) Now some replies...

1. when having more prices for one product (order more, pay less) there are no prices shown (€0,00)
You're right, this is not supported, and I'm not planning to add it... I'm sorry.
2. reorder possible on Product SKU, name and price
It's quite easy ordering on product name, also without being a "php wizard". Open file shop.pricelist.php and search for text ORDER BY p.product_sku; you can replace it, with ORDER BY p.product_name. Instead, ordering on price is not so easy.

Hello Pisu,

let me just THANK YOU.

Yes you are right, when I can see option for links on product name feature, so this make me happy today...

EDIT:  Do you have some tips where we can find needed font files which support UTF-8 for PDF?
In our language (czech) we have special characters like ěščřžžýáíáéíúůďťň   ...   so at this moment PDF generation is not working properly.
Or is needed something more for this issue ?

Thanks & regards

Great, thanks for finally adding the link to the page, this has really made the difference. This is a great way to show all the products on one page and easily see if the prices are all up to date. Click the links mean I can edit them if they need changing very easily.

I did notice, as with Livemap, that the created URL has the name ?Itemid=0 after the URL. I don't know if this is something extra added. I am using the sh404 plugin and found something similar happened with the livemap component. Just thinking if Search Engines pickup this URL as well as the URL without ?Itemid=0, therefore maybe indexing the same page twice. Not good for listings but of no importance to me, as i intend to use this as an admin tool

Grazie Ancora, ci si bekka su forum italiano.

The Itemid is needed in Joomla for displaying modules... The best, is to include the same Itemid as VirtueMart menu item, in the price list URL.

Example: if you have in your site a menu item for Joomla component, and you see that URL is
http://localhost/joomla15/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2
you can find that Itemid is "2". So, the URL for price list can be:
http://localhost/joomla15/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=2&page=shop.pricelist

In this way, the "Itemid=2" will be passed in the product links.....

Ciao! :)

I have read that this doesn't work in the 1.0X VM, would it take much to get it to work in it?

Why? It should be working on VM 1.0.x. Please try it, if you get any errorm, report it here!

Glory be to you Pisu...

What a work of art, oh the damage i could do if i had half your abilities...
This has to be the single most useful hack of this year, and i have just about tried them all!!

I think this hack rules, may it continue to grow into a monster..

Thank you Pisu, thank you.

I think anyone else out there running a serious store on virtuemart will love this.

What would be cool:
- Add to Cart button!
- Being able to select which categories to display and in what order.
- pagenation
-{edit_link}

Hopefully someone else with an eye for the limelight may be able to assist you Pisu. What you have done here is Awesome. The simple things are always the best.

Hi Pisu,

do you have any idea where to look. It only goes down to 3 levels of categories but I have categories that go further down than 3 levels so it doesn't show all the products. Any suggestion?

By the way big complements on this and I hope you can help me.

Nice work Pisu, this is very useful.

My client has requested something like this but with the thumbnails. I anticipate paying one of the freelance programmers I use add thumbnails to this hack, and if he can, I'll share the update here. Just because I'm not a programmer doesn't mean I can't give back to the community who've given me so much.

is it possible to add another 'config'  parameter which would not show product codes in the pricelist? These codes are quite confusing for the customers...

Thanks.

Hi, I have done a small add-on for VirtueMart, that make possibile for the user to view, print, or download in PDF the Complete Price List, divided by categories. It works also on Joomla 1.5 and VirtueMart 1.1.

etc

Pisu - having looked for something like this a few months ago, and now being able to find it - it is truly awesome and easy to install for a dummy like me
Thanks so much

Hi! The problem is that, PDF is not capable of using HTML entities. So you have to convert &pound; to £ (I had done it for &euro; symbol, but forgot this...).

So, open shop.pricelist.php go to line 109 (or simply search for &euro;), and here you can replace the &euro; symbol with &pound:

Code: [Select]
$row['product_price'] = str_replace('&pound;','£',$CURRENCY_DISPLAY->getFullValue($user_price["product_price"]));

Yes, it is possible; you can change the module for this page (for example, now "shop.pricelist.php" means that the module used is "shop", you can change in "admin.pricelist.php" or other); modules are important for correctly managing permissions (shopper, storeadmin, admin..).

Then, you can add a link to this page, in the top VM panel menu; this is defined in "header.php".

Hi, you can simply add a column to the pricelist table, extracting the stock variable from the database: $dbp->f("product_in_stock")

Can this be modified easily to show product images?
This is a little harder, but can be done creating IMG tags, with the correct src attribute, made in similar way as in shop.browse.php page:

Code: [Select]
314          if( $product_thumb_image ) {
 315              if( substr( $product_thumb_image, 0, 4) != "http" ) {
 316                  if(PSHOP_IMG_RESIZE_ENABLE == '1') {
 317                      $product_thumb_image = $mosConfig_live_site."/components/com_virtuemart/show_image_in_imgtag.php?filename=".urlencode($product_thumb_image)."&newxsize=".PSHOP_IMG_WIDTH."&newysize=".PSHOP_IMG_HEIGHT."&fileout=";
 318                  }
 319                  else {
 320                      if( file_exists( IMAGEPATH."product/".$product_thumb_image )) {
 321                          $product_thumb_image = IMAGEURL."product/".$product_thumb_image;
 322                      }
 323                      else {
 324                          $product_thumb_image = IMAGEURL.NO_IMAGE;
 325                      }
 326                  }
 327              }
 328          }
 329          else {
 330              $product_thumb_image = IMAGEURL.NO_IMAGE;
 331          }

The $product_thumb_image variable can be took from database: $dbp->f($product_thumb_image).

In the package, you will find the "administrator" folder; you can place this in you Joomla root (where you already find folder "administrator") ; you will not overwrite files, because all files in packages are new.

This is a great add-on!  :D

I only seem to have one slightly disturbing issue, which I don't quite understand how to deal with.
The language file is just right and it looks all good in the PDF and when listed on the site, but the short info for the links; View, Print and Download PDF don't seem to read the characters right. I can't get the characters Å, Ä and Ö to display properly on that first page (/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.pricelist) instead I get "Ã¥", "ä" and "ö".

Does anyone know why this might occur and how to set it right?

Your help would be much appreciated!

Good luck Ikkes, I've been wanting this for months so I can put a button on my site for customers to "Print Catalogue" if they want to - I got to the same point you're at (with the thumb name instead of the image), but nothing further so the button still isn't there and customers still can't print off all of our stock.  And then I lost the file (long story) so I gave up.

Maybe you could post the code you've done, and maybe somebody more PHP-savvy could help us modify what you've done?

Also, a word of advice - bumping posts isn't going to help your cause, it's more likely to get you ignored. :>

Cheers,
Nicky

Someone else reported problems with characters in PDF.. Sorry but at the moment I really don't know how to solve this. Maybe the EZ PDF library does not support UTF-8? You could try converting text to windows-1252 on-the-fly (using iconv or

The same problem with the PDF creation using UTF-8 romanian charset.

Hi Nicky,

I know that bumping posts aint the way to go, however it is the only way to get people's attention.
Will look up the file and post the php i have already modified!

Title: UTF8 Solved
Post by: serik555 on April 25, 2008, 11:27:09 am
Hello. For me I have decided a point with pdf and UTF8 Database. It is not universal solution, so everyone who wants to use pdf geretated pricelist must himself make chnages to code and create some new files.

First of all sorry for my English! :(

             - 3 steps to make it working.-

1. Download .PDF file, copy strings with unknoun characters and paste it in MS Word. Then choose the font according to your language until the characters get normally. Open Fonts folder and copy this font to any directory.
2. Now we need to convert your_font.ttf to your_font.afm.
Downlod the utility for Windows ttf2pt1.exe http://www.fpdf.org/download/ttf2pt1.zip. Put the utility and your_font to the same directory. Open command line and run command
ttf2pt1 -A -b -h -l <language> <your_font>.ttf <your_font>
(for me this command looks like D:\ttf2pt1>ttf2pt1 -A -b -h -l russian balt.ttf balt).

Where <language> is:
latin1 (works for most of the Western languages)
latin2 (works for Central European languages)
latin4 (works for Baltic languages)
latin5 (for Turkish)
russian (in Windows encoding)
bulgarian (in Windows encoding)
adobestd (Adobe Standard, expected by TeX)

Now you have to files 1) your_font.afm and your_font.pfb. Copy both files to administrator\components\com_virtuemart\html\pricelist directory.
3. Now we must change some code in files shop.pricelist.php and class.pdf.php. Open the file shop.pricelist.php, go to line 289 and change line $pdf->selectFont( 'administrator/components/com_virtuemart/html/pricelist/Helvetica.afm' ); //choose font
to
$pdf->selectFont( 'administrator/components/com_virtuemart/html/pricelist/your_font.afm' ); //choose font
Open the file class.pdf.php and after line 3015 add this code:
$this->fontFamilies['your_font.afm']=array(
       'b'=>'your_font.afm'
      ,'i'=>'your_font.afm'
      ,'bi'=>'your_font.afm'
      ,'ib'=>'your_font.afm'
     );

(For Bold and Italic you can use your bold and italic fonts, but i decide to use the same font for all attributes for getting smaller .pdf file.)

Thats all! Hope it will help someone to solve the problem with utf8 database.
Good Luck!

Sergey Aghagumyan!

Everything was OK until I created new child products and use Childlist...

Could you tell me what has to be done to see the item description instead of this setup text ?

Childlist module is available at http://design.markcallf.co.uk/VirtueMart-1.0.x/ChildLIst/menu-id-1.html

Hi, first of all, good JOB pisu

Romanian is not well translated, and the file has to be romanian.php (without -utf8), and the file must be set to unicode utf-8 in: page properties=> encoding.

How can I change the order of the coulumns?

Ciao

I have blank screen when i trying to make pricelist on my hosting. I have no problem on localhost. I have about 1000 positions, think executing time is too much. Script needs a time optimization.

I want to point out that this addon does not work with Joomla 1.5 in legacy mode with VM 1.1, it outputs this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mosgetparam() in D:\xampp\htdocs\1422\administrator\components\com_virtuemart\html\shop.pricelist.php on line 249.

How can I fix that?

Hi,

i try to use your add-on on a joomla 1.53 + Virtuemart 1.1.1 Platform.
Joomla 1.53 is only on native mode.
when i try to use your add-on, i obtain the nice message : "Direct Access to this location is not allowed."

do you require the legacy mode ?
is there any solution to get your add-on working with a standard Joomla 1.53 + Virtuemart 1.1.1 Platform ???

Thanks for your feedback
Regards,
JP

New utf-8 portuguese version with a better translation.

Solution to solve the utf-8 problem generating the pdf file:

Make that change in the file lib/ezpdf/class.pdf.php in the line 2184(+/-)

function addText($x,$y,$size,$text,$angle=0,$wordSpaceAdjust=0){
  if (!$this->numFonts){$this->selectFont('./fonts/Helvetica');}

replace TO:

function addText($x,$y,$size,$text,$angle=0,$wordSpaceAdjust=0){
   $text = utf8_decode($text);
  if (!$this->numFonts){$this->selectFont('./fonts/Helvetica');}

You only need to include that line in the function
$text = utf8_decode($text);

Best Regards
jolival

Hi all,

Maybe I am missing something but I have tried to download this today 4 times into different directories on my system and I am only showing 1 file in the archive which is labeled as VM_PriceList_20080415.  Even when I extract the archive there is no folder, just one file.

Is there supposed to be more to it?

Thanks much.

Hi There, is it possible to get sh404SEF working?
sh404SEF is working great through the website/webshop, but the urls that come with this pricelist are not modified/rewritten.

Is there a workarround or has someone figured out how to get the seo friendly urls with this great tool?

Title: Re: View/Print a complete Price List
Post by: korb on September 15, 2008, 15:17:47 pm
Yes... open components/com_sh404SEF/sef_ext/com_virtuemart.php plugin and add above
Code: [Select]
case 'shop.browse':
this code

Code: [Select]
case 'shop.pricelist': // V 1.4.8 by danny
                  if ($sefConfig->shVmInsertShopName) $title[] = $shShopName;
                  if ($shVmCChk) $title[] = 'cookie';
  $title[] =  $sh_LANG[$shLangIso]['_PHPSHOP_PRICELIST'];
  break;

now open administrator/components/com_sh404SEF/language/plugins/com_virtuemart.php and add (and translate to your language) the following string:

Code: [Select]
$sh_LANG['en']['_PHPSHOP_PRICELIST'] = 'Price list';

This should build SEF URLs for pricelist...well not in all it's cases, because you cannot remove javascript code from link, I mean I tried but I think it brings no SEO value for print and pdf, because the real URL is shown in browser only when hover above links.

Try changing line 275 to:

deep_category($category_id,$category_name . ' - ',$mode,$displaymanuf,$productlinks,$discountcolumn, $showthumb, $showdetail);

Is it possible and how .... (maybe you can give me some hint), to show on product pricelist the number of products in stock ... that will be very usefull ...
Hi, you can simply add a column to the pricelist table, extracting the stock variable from the database: $dbp->f("product_in_stock")

can you make it and attache file to me? i do not know how can i do that to show product in stock.. please

I want to display products separated by category just like this addon but not all at once. So when the user clicks on 1 cat, then sub cat, display those products and sub cats w/ products.

Can this be done using this addon?

Any help would be great. Nice work on this as well, its a top feature.

Hi.  I have an issue with the Price column for the View version.  I have some large numbers which are scrolling onto the second line.  I have turned off manufacturer, so I have plenty of room to expand the price column's width.  Could you tell me where I can change that?  It works fine in both the Print and PDF versions.  Thanks.

Price list does not work with VM1.1.3 and J1.5.10 for child products.
For each child product I don't have the child name, I just have > and the price.

Please advise.

The problem is the symbol amp; in the url is entered in url of virtuemart.

You can see a example in the next link:

index.php?option=com_virtuemart&amp;page=shop.browse&amp;cateogry_id=471&amp;Itemid=102

the correct url is:

index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&cateogry_id=471&Itemid=102

Post by: jedipi on September 28, 2009, 14:53:31 pm
I have Joomfish 2.0.3+vm 1.1.3 with mult-currencies.

All my VM products are in Chinese originally and are translated to English with Joomfish.
When I change language to English at front end, the product name in PriceList is still in Chinese.

is that possible to make it work with Joomfish??

What a great great addon to VM.
I have one question though ;-)

Would it be a big task to add some kind of watermark to the background of the viewed, prited, pdf'ed files?

Any hints to what to do would be great.

Thanks, Peter

Is this something that could be included in teh future do you think?

I have have modified it slightly to optionally include thumbs and long descriptions but I have not managed to include the thumbs in the pdf version yet!
You can try it here: http://www.subaqua-products.co.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.pricelist&Itemid=54 (http://www.subaqua-products.co.uk/cms/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.pricelist&Itemid=54)

Ho do I make changes for newer version of joomla and virtuemart?
I have tried few mods but didn't get that work like it should.

New utf-8 portuguese version with a better translation.

Solution to solve the utf-8 problem generating the pdf file:

Make that change in the file lib/ezpdf/class.pdf.php in the line 2184(+/-)

function addText($x,$y,$size,$text,$angle=0,$wordSpaceAdjust=0){
  if (!$this->numFonts){$this->selectFont('./fonts/Helvetica');}

replace TO:

function addText($x,$y,$size,$text,$angle=0,$wordSpaceAdjust=0){
   $text = utf8_decode($text);
  if (!$this->numFonts){$this->selectFont('./fonts/Helvetica');}

You only need to include that line in the function
$text = utf8_decode($text);

Best Regards
jolival

hello!

i agree is a great addon!!
but i still have problem with greeks (db collation: utf8)
when i did the change you suggested i see ???????? in columns header in the pdf file!

thank u!

Hi, this is cool VM addon!

I had few problems with Direct Access problem in Joomla 1.5.22 plus VM 1.1.3 but I managed to solve them with Legacy enabled. I saw that there exists native one, but it seems that doesn't work too... I did some search over the net and found that _VALID_MOS may causing some problems in native mode, so using JEXEC is probably the right thing to do... because the Direct Access was IMO *not* caused by shop.pricelist, I did another search over VM component for VALID_MOS and discovered many files containing it... so I wonder why until now VM was working in native mode...?????

More important thing - I have B2C and B2B set up and I generate pricelist with this plugin for B2B only. Rights are done with shopper groups. Now, how can I display on shop.pricelist, both regular (customer end price) and B2B prices? The problem is that price and discounted price are equal now for given user...

Anyone?

Is there a way to add in some pertinent information at the top of the PDF that is created? Ie, the client would like for his logo, as well as some terms and conditions to be included.. How can I do this?

I have managed to get the pricelist to show the prices EXCLUDING tax.. but unfortunately the column, still says INCLUDING tax, even though the price doesn't include the tax anymore..
Any idea where I can change that?

Excellent! Thanks!

Anyone know how to show just one Category in this list?
I am guessing it is in the second line below, but not sure how to change it.
Let's say I wanted it to show just the category for "Hammers"?

   $query  = "SELECT * FROM #__{vm}_product p INNER JOIN #__{vm}_product_category_xref x ";
   $query .= "ON (p.product_id=x.product_id) WHERE x.category_id=" . $category_id;
   $query .= " AND p.product_publish='Y' ORDER BY p.product_sku";

Working on JOOMLA 1.5 AND VM 1.1.18

Anyone?

I'm having the same problem - Can you explain to me how to enable legacy?

Any help appreciated thanks!!

What to do with this text:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mosgetparam() in /home/ledstyle/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/html/shop.pricelist.php on line 249

Code: [Select]
$mode = mosGetParam( $_GET, 'mode', '' );

This is a great add on. Installed it in less that 2 minutes and works flawlessly. I'm using joomla 1.5.22, virtuemart 1.1.8 stable with php 5.2.17 and legacy 1.0 enabled.
Great job and thank you!

This script downloaded from the first page of this topic did not work on my shop on Joomla 1.5.25 an VM 1.1.8.
At first i got "Direct acces to this location is not allowed". After changing the defined line i got the  mosgetparam error.
But now i changed all instances of
Code: [Select]
mosGetParam( $_GET, to
Code: [Select]
JRequest::getVar( and it works like charm.
Thanks for a great script it saved me al lot of time.

I attached the Joomla 1.5 native compatible script to this post.

Use this file shop.pricelist.zip
call url option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.pricelist&mode=view&hhhh=XX  <---- category_id

So when I view my price list, all the price is in Rupiah without any conversion for US Dollar, for example : Product A, input price US$ 5, rate Rp. 9000,- display become Rp. Rp. 45.000,00, but in the price list, it show Rp. 5, just like that, need help. Thanks.

This is a fine hack! Thank you:)
How would I add some text to the output page, in case we want to comment on shipping and returns, at the bottom of the price list?
Which file would I add that to?
Thanks,
rickvv
