Title: Category page, filter products by a custom field?

Hello,

I want to override the VM Category page, to show products (in the category) with a specific custom field.

Can you give me hints on where is the code I am looking for?

Why are you not using Customfilters PRO?

We are.

But we want to do some very specific custom modification to the VM behavior as well.

in category page is loading sublayout products.php
Inside sublayout products.php is loaded sublayout product.php

Restriction for customfield - I have a little information, but first try put restriction inside category page - templates/TEMPATE/html/com_virtuemart/category/default.php (sure as override in template).
