QRcode generator, which gives the user a QR code to print, or to display in the smartphone and the ticket collector can than scan the code, which is then set to "scanned".

If I wanted to create a really business website for selling tickets, I would not use a VirtueMart. You can check our website on Joomla: https://www.pragueclassicconcerts.cz (etc 750 developping hours and 50 hours of project preparation).
It contains a QR code on tickets and is connected to the special DB, and using app on a mobile phone/tablet, I can scan the code and mark the tickets as scanned when customers enter the concert.
But if you really want to use VirtueMart, it's an possible option, it'll just be a little trickier to run so it's not a funny site ..
Maybe you need someone to make your idea a working project. Such work is usually paid for and is prepared by the project manager, who understands all needs (not only the client, but also the end customers). Definitely not a developer or programmer :)
Ok, I should be more specific. My project is only one annually repeating open-air festival https://chillifest.cz. I want use Virtuemart to keep things simple and cheap. One system to sell tickets and merch. For more complex e-ticket solution I'll give a try to this extension for example: https://joomdonation.com/joomla-extensions/events-booking-joomla-events-registration. It may be less fun :)
