Hello,
I am already sitting here for threee hours trying to figure out by following manuals on how to setup PayPal Express Checkout.
It is very confusing.
I tried to follow this first:
http://docs.virtuemart.net/manual/shop-menu/payment-methods/paypal-express-checkout.html
and after going to the link "Connect to the PayPal Developer Website" I am not able to find "Click on Applications on the horizontal bar".
Now I am stucking.
Anyone who can help me with that?
Thank you
These are the settings that worked for my testing
Note - I had to disable (smart buttons)
Thanks, but as I wrote I am already stucking at "Click on Applications on the horizontal bar" from the VM Docs. I do not have this in my PP.
The VM guide you were using is there to help with the setup of a PayPal developer account
I do not have this in my PP.
You wont - it is related to using a developer test account.
This enables you to run paypal on your VM site in a sandbox mode.
If you want to do that then setup a PayPal developer account
You can then setup test accounts for business and customer testing before using against your live PayPal account.
Maybe I was not specific enough.
I do not have this in my PayPal Developer Account.
This all is very confusing and complicated.
Why do they always make it that way?
Go to the accounts section
Thank you very much.
I have the Sandbox, but how do I do the Production setup?
I cannot find it in the Developer PayPal Account.
OK - I am struggling to understand now what you are aiming to achieve
Please explain clearly what you are attempting to do
Is it for a live PayPal account or a sandbox Paypal account
Is it for a production or a test site
You need a real PayPal account to use any of this in a production site.

I am trying to add PayPal Express Checkout to my current website for my customers, but all this is very confusing.
Since I am still alive, I occasionally still like to play in a sandbox to produce some sand castles to test them on site. ;D
