Title: Problem with Related products, when product is unpublished
Post by: TaDrik on February 22, 2020, 10:26:20 AM
Hello to all.

I have the below problem.
I have a product that has 10 related products. The related products are shown below the product in  the product page. But when a product (from the related) is unpublished then the product does not appear in the related products but the conainer of the product appears, so there is a blank space between the products (see screenshot). Is there a way to remove the space?

Thank you

OK, then there is something in Your override for the related products. Probably this file:
templates/your-template/html/com_virtuemart/sublayouts/related.php (http://templates/your-template/html/com_virtuemart/sublayouts/related.php)

It uses owl carousel, as I saw, so maybe the problem is there!! The other templates do not use owl carousel. Same problem!

To TaDrik:

What do you think more exclamation marks will increase help for your problem?
Please do not spam this forum and contact the developer of your template.
The template is usually paid == you have the right to support.

This is your problem and your template problem, not VirtueMart.

Otherwise wait with humility and patience, it seems someone in good will will solve your problem here.

And You Are wrong - It uses owl carousel, as I saw, so maybe the problem is there!!
The problem is in module, not in owl carousel.

There are very old rules about behaviour in forums or mailing lists. They are older than public Internet but, they developed in ancient times of mailboxes (eg at Fido-Net) and are proven to be usefull since many years.

Using several characters (eg !) can mean to insist on something no matter what other people have typed. A . is better and more polite in most cases.

edit: Fidonet etiquette

Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.
Thou shalt not interfere with other people's computer work.
Thou shalt not snoop around in other people's computer files.
Thou shalt not use a computer to steal.
Thou shalt not use a computer to bear false witness.
Thou shalt not copy or use proprietary software for which you have not paid (without permission).
Thou shalt not use other people's computer resources without authorization or proper compensation.
Thou shalt not appropriate other people's intellectual output.
Thou shalt think about the social consequences of the program you are writing or the system you are designing.
Thou shalt always use a computer in ways that ensure consideration and respect for your fellow humans.
