When using Multivariant Custom Fields (MCF), I've noticed that the order of play seems to be to:
1. make the parent product
2. Make the MCF
3. Assign the MCF to the parent product and in so doing, generate associated child products.
Is it possible to assign pre-made child products to an MCF?

You find a field for the parent ID in every product, just put in the ID of the parent you want to assign and Save the product.
