Title: vmError: Was not able to save the VirtueMart user data

Hello,

When a customer goes to their profile page, attempting to update their information fails with the following error:
vmError: Was not able to save the VirtueMart user data
(rough translation)

How can I troubleshoot this? Any tips? Thanks.

I would guess to old Vm version, problem with php version or joomla version.

You can try turning on VMdebug for errors, but as Jörgen says, this could be a version problem. Some people have had issues when using VM pre-3.4 with J3.9 series.

PHP version changed to 7.x via hoster when that happened?
