Hello
My company have a site (WP) and an eshop (magento) under the same domain (dont ask me why..i didnt make that). From now on i will be the admin of theese two. I am thinking to tell them to switch to virtuemart (i believe it will be more easy and simple to handle ) but my main problem is how to to do this without losing anything (seo rankinks and outbound links) .How easy will be this migration??????
what sort of construction are the current sef urls?
Yes, you must learn the used urls and catch them. There is a free plugin for vm1 updaters, which catches old vm1 links and redirects to the new correct link with a correct 301. Our BanquettTablesPro wrote it, imho. GJC can you post the link? You just need to adjust it to your magento links. Then you can install the plugin in joomla. You could donate it ;-) .
The rest is mainly an import of the products, customfields, categories (simple), media (simple), users, orders and so on.
Very much a work in progress but u can experiment with this:

it really depends though what the current WP and Mag urls are ... BTW I recently did a WooCommerce to VM and was able to match the old SEF urls in VM just by careful selection of cat and product slugs
This is very interesting, is it part of your plugin? You know that I work on a Virtuemart on WP version and the last piece of the puzzle is the sef (and installation of vm plugins/modules).
Matching WP & VM SEF urls:
No -- what I mention was not done programatically - just careful matching of slugs gave me the same urls as had been in Woo
This can be done with a database of old urls and new urls.
and a simple plugin.
whats the old url structure like?
