I have a site that is getting a lot of bounce back messages do to users being setup with out legit email addresses. How can you eliminate or reduce this?
Using Joomla 3.8.10
Virtuemart 3.2.14
This is a regular problem for Joomla users where the site allows user registration. If you don't need registration then turn it off in Joomla user manager options, but if you do allow/require registration then there are ways to reduce bot registrations, such as setting up reCaptcha. That might help, I never got my remote keyboard exploder plugin to work. It's rare that you can remove spam registrations completely if you allow registration. Currently spammers are exploiting com_contact on Joomla sites to send out spammy contact emails which bounce back. All in a day's work.
Yep -- tis a sad fact -- if u have any sort of a form on a website some twat will fill it with poop... :(
