Hi all, sorry I have no idea if this is the right place to post or even if anyone here can help but am desperate so will give it a go :)
My bookkeeping software is Acumulus and the consumer invoices are automatically sent there which is great. Problem is, that the shipping fees are being booked as not having to be taxed with our 21% VAT. I have looked at the settings for the batch processing of the invoices (sending to Acumulus) but there is nothing related to it there. Setting tax rules for the shipping costs themselves is not relevant as this just adjusts the costs on the invoice itself. So my issue is purely about how the shipping costs are being booked in Acumulus.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? VAT needs to be paid on the entire invoice amount, including the shipping costs so that's the problem right now. Since the beginning of 2017 the bookings have ended up elsewhere, where they shouldn't be.
If this is not something that needs to be done in Virtuemart then I will turn to the bookkeeping software helpdesk.
Without seeing the bridging software it is impossible to say but if you set your shipping costs to be taxed then the order_shipment and order_shipment_tax are both recorded within the VM orders table.
It then is possible to get the figures you require so it will be your bridging software that isn't doing it properly

only you can know this .. is is what ever script/software joins VM to your billing/accounting software
