I need to get the link out of the product name when it is shown on the first screen, which upon clicking goes to product details.

Hmmm ... your questions are not improving in style... concise is always good but so concise no one knows what your asking helps no one.
If u mean remove the link on the product title then over ride what ever view u mean ( if not already over ridden) and remove the link from it.
