...why I can't select more than one item at once with shift key?
I have to work with tables of around 500 different shipment prices according to zones, weight and seasonal discounts.
What Do You want to accomplish ? How would You edit more than one shipment at a time ? Have You considered manipulating the tables in PhpAdmin ?

Sometimes I need to disable half of the options per state/province.
I have always all the variants and types already loaded, but I enable/disable them according to promotions, or just because my Boss decides to try something new
If it's mandatory for you you can write an plugin vmextended so you can customize the default behavior.
