A GoDaddy Windows server is not really a good choice, but I guess that's what you were given. Like most people here, I have never used a Windows based server.
First step is to get the installation package - download com_virtuemart.3.2.14.9808_extract_first.zip from http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files and unzip the package on your local machine.
Then follow the instructions here (starting just after step 2) http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/installation-migration-upgrade/76-easy-virtuemart-2-install-instructions.html Note this instruction set does not include installing the tdcpf component. See the older instructions step 5 for that http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/installation-migration-upgrade/80-installation-of-virtuemart-2.html (note the version numbers will be different). For the first time user it is recommended to install the sample data to see how things work.
Hi Kelvyn
Thanks a ton.
I do agree that windows is not the best choice but this one is for POC.
I exactly followed the same instructions... in addition tried two other methods none was successful hence posted in the forum. I couldn't figure it out.
I can share the admin user id and password. Will you be able to take look at it.
The files are in joomla/tmp directory.
