To replicate the issue:
Via shopper at front-end, set any other currency using the currency converter module(Let say shop currency was 'US dollar' and set it to 'British Pound') -> Add some product to cart -> complete order -> Go to order list.
As order currency always remain constant, so this order should always show its value in 'British Pound' no matter what the current currency is set to. Though in the order list, order price is always showing up in default site currency only (and that is too non-converted). Check attached snapshot.
I guess that the shopper sees the order in their chosen currency. In back end You would see it in shop currency
Where is the problem ? what You show does not seem to be faulty.

The order detail view is totally correct. The fault is in the order list that is available to the shopper. If you again see the screenshot I have attached, in the list, order amount is displayed as $34.42 though it should be £34.42.
