Title: Not showing prices with the last version
Post by: m.davide82 on March 28, 2018, 12:20:48 PM
Hello,

I did a bulk installation but I'm not showing prices.

Any idea?

Thanks.

You have to be more precise than this....

Bulk install ? Installed products ? Updated old install ? Using VM version, latest is kind of non sense information. Tomorrow this may not apply to your version anymore. Using PHP version ? Using Joomla version ? Custom templates ?

Without a link, how would we now, it is kind of making a call to a auto shop and say that the car door doesn´t open.

Hi Jortgen,

here's all the informations:
Joomla 3.8.6
VirtueMart 3.2.13 Blue Corvus 9797
Php 7.0.27
Mysql 5.5.5-10.0.34-MariaDB

It's a new installation, no migration, nothing, I just installed them without demo products.

I created a product, but the price is not showing in backend (product list) the same in frontend.

Thanks.
Davide

Have you set a default currency for the store?  On the Shop/Vendor tab.

No, because I always have this error:
vmError: Save failed with the following error: Access Denied

But I'm the only user in the database!

If you have no currency set for the store the proices cannot display.

You may be the only user, but you are probably not set as vendor. Look up your User ID on the Joomla Users page and use that to set the vendor:

Go to Tools/Tools & Migration/DB tools - "Write here the new store owner id    "

Hi Jenkinhill,

I know that without currency I can' t see the prices.
I did the setting of the new owner, but the problem persists, it's very strage!

Thanks,
Davide

Updated to the latest version, but I receive always:

vmError: Save failed with the following error: Access Denied

Why?

If it the VM config that failes, you have not the correct rights for your joomla directory. Maybe the ownership for your joomla install is incorrect. Your site provider should be able to help you out.

Hi,
it's not a permission problem... very strange!

Any idea?

Is the store owner a super admin? Have you installed both vm and the aio part. You can always install over the current version without uninstall of course.
What is your db driver. Mysql ?

When is always ?

Have You assigned VM category page to a menu item ?

Screenshots of FE prices and BE prices ?

Hi,
I was going crazy, but finally I solved the problem.

The problem was from AdminTools, I disabled "Disable editing backend users' properties" and everything is working.
