Occasionally I get reports that orders that customers place have been set to cancelled, and I've been trying to find out how this happens.
The symptoms are that a customer places an order, a Cancelled order shows up, it doesn't get fulfilled and they send in a complaint. The payment has been received successfully, funds are in our Paypal account. The order history shows the payment being received and the order being Confirmed, then shortly set to this "Payment cancelled by the shopper" status - see attached.
In each case the customer hasn't actually knowingly done anything. In fact I can't find any possible way for a customer to deliberately cancel an order - is there one ?

This used to happen in earlier versions of Vm for PayPal
Your versions of VM should be upgraded

I'm in the process of planning the upgrades, though my attempts to move off VM3.0.16 so far haven't been successful.
Glad to hear it's a known issue though, once I get everything up to the latest version it should go away.
