Hello All,

Am trying to install VirtueMart v.3.2.12 for the first time to Joomla! v.3.8.3.

I hope these versions are compatible (they are both up to date). If I try to install from web or to install from Upload Package File, I get the following error messages from Joomla!:

JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.

Error
Unable to find install package

*******

The name of the downloaded package file from the VirtueMart website is:

<com_virtuemart.3.2.12.9708_extract_first.zip>

Am down at the first hurdle. :'( Please could someone tell me what's going wrong? Searching online, I find that the problem may be that the version of VirtueMart I have downloaded (the latest) is not compatible with Joomla! v.3.8.3. This seems odd as both are up to date (unless they're out of sync. with each other).

Could any clever person please advise? Thanks in advance!

You must extract this first !

Then install com_virtuemart... and AIO package.
