I currently have user accounts set so that the Administrator must activate them in order to work but clients are getting a link in their emails: "Please use this link to activate your account" which takes them back to the account page and doesn't say anything to the effect that their account has been verified. The store admin gets a notification that the user verified their account and it can be activated with a link. When we verify the account it doesn't send out a message to the user.
Some questions:
- The message "Please use this link to activate your account" isn't correct. It should say, "Please use this link to verify your account." Can this be adjusted?
- How can we create a message so that when the client clicks their link it at least says something on the website like "Thank you for verifying your information."?
- Why doesn't the user get a message saying their account is active after it has been activated? I know there is Joomla messages to this effect.
This is the link: https://symptopro.org/account.html
VirtueMart Version: 3.2.12
Joomla! 3.8.3
As VM uses the Joomla registration system I think u will find that these are Joomla problems
Have u tested just with Joomla registration and this workflow?
I vaguely remember having to fix something like this on a clients site
"Please use this link to activate your account" is a VirtueMart string, COM_VIRTUEMART_LINK_ACTIVATE_ACCOUNT so a language override can be used to change the text.
Okay. I'll create an override. Should the client get a confirmation email after they are activated by the admin?
Setting the account manually as activated in backend triggers nothing, AFAIK. But You are free to send and email to the client when You activate the account.
