I'm mostly looking for general advice & guidance on moving sites between hosts. Specifically what I need is to know what data/tables to update if the sites get out of sync during the implementation & testing phase on the new host?
At the moment I can see that 3 new orders have been added to the Old site, that need to be transferred to the New one. If I do this in SQL:
- What tables do I need to update? - Is this list still current https://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=55785.0 (https://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=55785.0)
- Is there a best date variable to use? - e.g. The order date
- What other things should I be looking to update to complete the transfer?
What I do if the versions are recent is dump all VM user related , VM order related and Joomla user tables in the new site and replace with the old site versions
Then run the table updater
