Title: Discount management
Post by: fabioweb on November 04, 2017, 00:02:29 AM
Hello, i need to setup a new discount rule in my VM 3.2.4 Shop

Product A -> Category A
Product B -> Category B
Product C -> Category C

If i have 2 products in my shopping cart and at least one of this is in category "A" i have a 10% discount on total cart..

Cart Example:
Product A + Product B = 10% Off
Product B + Product C = No Discount
Product A + Product C = 10% Off

Is it possible?
Regards

Set up a discount rule to discount 10% from cart total and apply to category A.  http://docs.virtuemart.net/manual/general-concepts/204-tax-and-calculation-rules-overview.html

Hello fabioweb

It seems that the discount is only calculated on the associated product category, not the total cart. Anyway that is what I see on VM 3.2.5 I suggest You look at Awocoupon. Ask Seyi, he could possibly solve Your issue.

Hello,

Yes, you can set this up with AwoCoupon Pro.  You would use a parent coupon to build it.  Here is how:

Coupon A: value 0, discount type: specific, product selection: select category A
Coupon B: 10% discount coupon
Coupon C: parent coupon, where you add both coupons A and B and set process type to only if all apply

Then give out coupon C, or if it is supposed to be processed without entering a coupon code, add it to the automatic coupon list.
