Title: Multilingual shop is no longer multilingual after Joomla upgrade
Post by: GSC on September 08, 2017, 16:04:50 PM
Hello,

Our multilingual shop is no longer multilingual but always displays in English.

We are running VM 3.0.12 and Joomla 3.7.5. I am not 100% sure but think the behavior started after our last Joomla update (which was 3.6).

I tried going the path of upgrading to the latest VM version but this resulted in a cascade of other stuff that needed to be upgraded, including some custom hacks we did in the past which no longer work (I know....).

As we want to migrate to a complete new version of our website within the next couple of months, I would like to fix this somehow, not sure though where this language selection takes place.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Note: When disabling the virtuemart currency selector, the categories (+products) are displayed correctly for each language

You should use at least VM3.2.2 with Joomla 3.7+   http://virtuemart.net/news/latest-news/480-security-release-of-joomla-3-7-be-prepared

Older versions have issues with J3.7+  especially since language handling has changed since J3.6.x
