and I would not like the particulars to see prices on my site
I created a client group save
so all my clients I save them in (group save)
enter prices (price regsitrer)
but for now everyone sees the prices.
is what I have done wrong something

That's exactly what that thread describes. Users must be registered and logged in to see add to cart, and with a little additional code, to see the prices.
For what do you need an hack? There is a shoppergroup depended price display!
I note, it may make sense to add check, which sets the product unorderable ($product->orderable=false), when no price is shown.
