Title: Revenue report only shows gross revenue in VM 3.2.2 (and 3.2.4)
Post by: Allen_K on August 11, 2017, 20:25:09 PM
The revenue report has net revenues, gross revenues, and discounts applied.

However it is calculating net revenues = gross revenues, even though discounts are listed in the discount column. This means that my net revenues are not available unless I calculate manually, which defeats the purpose of a revenue report.

Please advise. Using VM 3.2.2 on Joomla 3.7.4 with PHP 7.0.

Regards,
Allen

Did you test with the last version?

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

3.2.2 is the latest stable version as maintained by VM's Joomla update, and what is available at https://virtuemart.net/downloads. I did not test with previous versions since we only started offering discount coupons with this version.

Here are all downloads http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files

and http://dev.virtuemart.net/attachments/download/1087/com_virtuemart.3.2.3.9624_extract_first.zip is stable and better than vm3.2.2

I now have 3.2.4, and the problem still exists. See the screen capture.

BTW - off lesser concern is the need to align formatting properly.

Thanks,
Allen

Yepp, the coupons. At least I added them, so that you see that coupons were used. There are two problems. First, when you use the revenue report per product, no coupon can be assigned to certain products. It could be assigned, when there is only one product on the invoice. So the coupon stuff do not work with the list per product.
Furthermore coupons are differently used. Sometimes like a discount, but sometimes like a currency.

Hello,

I'm sorry, I do not understand your reply. Perhaps you could clarify? Are you saying that what I am describing is a known issue?

The report screen capture I provided was not per product, it was simply orders in a designated period.

Allen

Max is saying it isn't easy in a logical sense to split up coupons over ind. order items etc..

There are much more comprehensive 3rd party report tools available
We have used this for clients ..  http://analytictools.latitudweb.com/

Ah. Thanks.

Strange that the revenue report has a "gross" column" and a "net" column if it can't even subtract coupons as well as the invoices can - even with order aggregate totals. I'll look into the third party tool you recommended.
