Title: Product module not showing the right latest product
Post by: ptrouw on November 09, 2016, 11:45:29 AM
Using 3.0.18 the VM product module, configured it to show the latest product, but products shown are not the latest. I have cache disables.
Strangely enough, using the latest product on the homepage which you can set in VM configuration homepage, is working fine.
Did anybody noticed this?

Hi,

do you have these latest products visible somewhere else at the same site?
Can you please provide an URL we can see the problem?

Thanks,
Jason

Hey Jason,
Have look at http://www.joomlaonline.nl

On the homepage the VM product module (I changed layout with 3 tabs) it is showing the 4 latest products. The product shown are not the last 4 product ids, including the latest test product, but the 4 products before the last 4 product!
Hope that make sense.

You can see this latest test product, and the real 4 latest products, at the bottom of the website, where the latest product are shown from with the VM configuration homepage settings.

VirtueMart 3.0.18 shows products only one time per page. This is the reason why you have different latest products. The next release 3.0.18.3 (testversion) has a config for each product group and the product modules if you want products show twice or not.

VM 3.0.18.3 should be available in a few days: http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files

Try the testversions at first on your own testsite and don't forget to backup!

Make sense, thank you.
