After doing some test orders we received the following e-mail message:

An error with your payment method paypal on your store (store name). The details are logged in the file paypal.2.log.php
. The VirtueMart Team"

I'm not sure what to look for in the paypal.2.log.php. I checked the old forum posts and it seems like there was an issue with a earlier version of Virtuemart. Currently we are using Virtuemart 3.0.2. and Joomla 3.3.6.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
I've just had the same problem. Did you find the fix to this?

You should have a line on the log file with "ERROR"
and the description of the error.
Can you copy / paste it?
I'm having similar problems (still in Sandbox).

Alatak or anybody else, I do have the same message from Paypal, however neither me nor the programmer I asked to test was able to find the location to this file. Could anybody please point to the location where this file is saved (on server/path or on local/user pc, which path)?

It would be VERY useful to point user WHERE to find more details to an error message or to the error log mentioned. Best would be to add the full link to the error log or at least indicate where to find it...

Hmm, found the file but no error messages related to paypal found in there....
While this is a very old thread, someone may stumble upon it and find this post useful. If you can't find paypal.x.log.php in the root folder, look under JoomlaRoot/administrator/logs.
Yes ... it is under where ever you have set your Log path in the Joomla admin config
