Hi All, using Virtuemart 3 now - is it possible to add extra fields to product information that will display frontend and connect to csv improved - even if it is an extension?

The best way to do that is to use custom fields

hi, but custom fields need adding info manually - if i want to use csv improved its not possible.
you need to ask Roland at csvi - unless someone else knows
its a big flaw of VM because custom fields post badly to SQL and this is the reason why you cant get a clean export/import of CSV data.
it just posts all of it in a big text file, you also cant add anything new so i want to change and add core product info fields.
I think that CSVI supports custom fields.
If you want cleaner and lighter db records, you can use this plugin
