Title: Checkout form customisation problems
Post by: MelvinDistudios on November 14, 2014, 16:21:46 PM
Dear Sir/Madam,

We've been trying out virtue mart for the past few days and setting up our store. Something which we require is a custom field where customers can select around what time they will come by the store to pick up their order.

We're currently using the Shopper field list for that matter. We've got the field all set up and assigned to the cart's form, and set to required however you can click through to the payment without having to select a value from the drop down (we left the top one empty so it says "choose an option").

Apart from that, if you agree with the terms, finish your payment and order again the terms checkbox remains checked.

What is causing these problems, and how would we go and fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Joomla 3.3.3, VM 2.9.9.4.
Wasn't aware you'd need that information.

Clearly displayed as a sticky at the top of this board. In capitals, too.

You are using a test/development version of VM (which is why the version is essential). We are several bugfixes further forward now, so try VM2.9.9.5 (from http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/files ) and report any problems/issues on the development board, http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?board=136.0

If we were to update VM, would we have to redo all the information stored within VM? And is it necessary to completely reinstall VM, or can we update through the back office?

Simply update using Joomla's Extentions Manager. No data is lost.   http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=123808.0

Once in final release updates should be available through Joomla's "auto" update system.
