Turned out this was a setting in the payment plug-in, not Virtuemart 2.

I have problem with the default url used to display the order confirmation after payment has been processed by SagePay.
The default Virtuemart 2 url being used starts index.php?option=com_virtuemart... but I need to use index.php/shop?option-com_virtuemart... as the shop is a section within a larger website.
Would be grateful if someone could point me in the direction of the file I need to update to achieve this?
